Pumpkin Recipes

Much cheaper than buying tinned stuff. Besides, the tinned stuff is loaded with sugar syrup, so I wouldn't use that for a savoury soup even if I did have it available.

Not if you buy the plain tinned pumpkin rather than the pumpkin pie mix. It's just pureed pumpkin, nothing else...I've used it for savoury recipes before.

I haven't seen the sweetened pre spiced pumpkin here in the UK.  I have only seen the Libby's pumpkin only.  Libby's does make pre-spiced and sweetened, but I haven't seen it about. 

I don't have the recipe, but my husband's (that's the first time I got to write that--just married on Saturday ) co-worker made yummy yummy veggie pumpkin curry.  I guess any squash curry recipe can be changed to a pumpkin curry.
