2. It's finally October!

1. ALL the kids are in school

2. hubby is on nightshift so he'll be sleeping all day which gives me a nice quiet house!

Well, I've been subtly (okay, not so subtly) hinting as we're not 100% sure yet, but it looks like we're going to Edinburgh !

1.  Booked hotel for recon-mission/flat-hunting trip to Edinburgh today, and secretary promises he will do flight tomorrow.

The Cubs rally was fun and it stopped raining as soon as it started.  That proves that God is a Cubs fan ;-)

1.  Just got off the phone with my cousin. She's coming here next week for a couple of good old fashioned girlie nights of drinking and reality television. 

2.  Straightened out an ongoing issue with the Council and they've finally admitted they sent me a summons in error. Whew.

1.  Good haircut at the salon right across the street from me!  Why haven't I tried it before??  I've only lived here 2 and a half years!

2.  I'm actually getting my laptop this week!  I thought it would be November time.

1. Putting in a bid on a house tonight that we really like - hope they accept our offer because we can't go any higher.
