Two things you are happy about today/

I am going home to NY for the weekend.
I am having salad for dinner with my favorite home-made vinegarette dressing that DH is going to make for me.

Monday night phone call with my sister. I got a funny card today.

!.  DD is feeling better now that she's on antibiotics for her ear infection.
2.  A British friend has agreed to bring me some Mars bars back from her trip to England.

1. DD losing another tooth today and offering it to DH to put under his pillow. 

2. DH, DD and I laughing and having a great time today doing a little shopping and picking our tree out. And singing along to Christmas carols on the car radio.

1. Decorating the Christmas tree with my sister and 5 year old niece.

2. Currently living in Boston so there's the possibility of a white Christmas. (Since I have been living in Texas the last 12 years, I haven't seen a while Christmas in AGES!)

1.  FINALLY having time to unpack my stuff that FINALLY arrived last week.

2.  FINDING MY CAMERA AND MALARIA PILLS THAT THE MOVERS TOOK and claimed they could not find before I left for Africa.  At least I got them back!

1.  Setting up lunches with all my Chi-town friends when I'm back.

2.  Getting up on time for my meeting this morning. 

1. Really, really pleased with my new job - the people, the commute... everything is miles better!!! 

2. Finally feeling back to normal after our trip and starting the new job - laundry finally all done, house clean, hair appointment on Saturday. I've felt a bit discombobulated for the past week so it's nice to start feeling on top of things again. Now if only I could make a start on my VERY LATE Christmas cards!!! 

1. Really, really pleased with my new job - the people, the commute... everything is miles better!!!

2. Had a successful evening of internet shopping last night, and the end of Christmas shopping is in sight!

I can so relate to that!  Even down to the Christmas cards...but it's on the agenda for today!

Here's my two:

1) I go back to having a groovy work schedule again at the first of the year - working Tuesday through Thursday (instead of Monday, Thursday-Friday).

2) On Tuesday, 22nd January - I will officially become a British citizen!

So the future in 2008 is looking bright (and Orange too ) -- I may have to wear shades.

1.  Found three dog friendly properties to look at on Saturday.  Two houses and a flat.  I hope we can get one of them (I am hoping one of the houses as they look fantastic from the stuff the estate agent sent and both have big gardens).

2.  Found a car, bought it, and insured it!  2005 Toyota Yaris with only 10,000 miles.  And it is automatic, blue, and so comfy!  It is like a mini-version of my Toyota Matrix that I loved.  And it is a Toyota certified car.  Still has the new car smell!  And the payments came in well under our budget!  Now we just need to land a house and life will be fantastic!

1.  CHRISTMAS SHOPPING IS DONE!!!  phew.

2. I managed to put dinner in the slow cooker this morning, so a yummy beef joint for supper, plus I'm going to make my first batch of spritz tonight!!
