1. The lovely, snuggly feeling of new slippers that still have lots of cushion to them so it feels like you are walking on pillows, and the bonus of them being four years old and never worn. ( I have so many pairs of sweater booties and slippers I can't seem to get to them all)

I have a slipper obsession as well lol. ;)  :) Mil & Dh are always saying to me you only have 1 set of feet why do you need soooo many pairs of slippers an I say I like variety!! ;)  ;D

Variety, to match different color outfits, slip ons for when it isn't so cold, the big, fuzzy, come up to the ankles ones for when it is, Colts ones for watching NFL, lots of reasons to need far more slippers than you have feet.  ;D

Hah! I was just going to post mine when I noticed yours:

1.  Mr A got me a new pair of winter slippers.  I wanted a pair of tall, knitted ones, but we couldn't find any.  I am sure there will be more out in coming weeks and months, but our floors are getting chilly now, and I've worn out the pair of clog type ones we got a few years ago.  I was just going to opt for another set of clogs, when Mr A insisted I get these. I didn't want to get them because they seemed a bit like a novelty product.  But he insisted, and promised he'd rush out to get me a new pair if these fall apart.  OMIGAWD they are so warm and lovely.  Even though it's still warmish out, our floors are tile and brutally cold in the winter and cold enough now.  I love these weird and wonderful slippers.  They remind me of a pair I had at uni which were basically shaped like giant monster feet.  ;D

2. Even though I didn't get a good night sleep again last night, my nose feels clear.  I still feel like something's caught in my throat though.  About to go take a short nap and hope that the last of whatever this is (allergies, lurgy) leaves me.

While they do look a bit novel (says the girl with cow head/face slippers and Indianapolis Colts slippers in the shape of trainers), they look very comfy and cozy.  I may end up with a pair before winter.  ;D I had a giggle over the monster feet. In high school and just after I wore the heck out of my Tyranno Toes slippers, the huge dinosaur foot ones that made obnoxious (but oh so fun) growling and stomping noises when you walked - they also had an off switch for if you didn't.

1. Off soon for a wonderful bubble bath.

2. Enjoying a steaming mug of blueberry tea.

Those are the ones I had.  Someone gave them to me because they were too big for her, and she had thankfully taken the noise maker out.  They were super warm and cool though.

I think I have more than 2...

1) I have now lost approx 25 pounds (give or take) since the beginning of the year - got back down to what I was back in 2008 before a knee injury & before my mom died.

2) Spent the weekend in Norwich - celebrating hubby's parents' golden wedding anniversary with all his family & their friends, and got lots of compliments on my slimmed-down appearance.

3) Strangely enough, despite having food & drink indulged at the weekend, I still lost more weight which is just strange & weird & wonderful.

4) Most of my regular everyday clothes are really hanging off me - oh darn, new clothes!

5) But I imagine I'll lose some ground now, because we're off on holiday to the US on Thursday!!!  ;D

Best wishes, Dr.Super!

Congratulations, Mrs. R. You're doing great! I managed not to gain anything while on holiday (yay!) but it's a different story since I got back. Jet-lag doesn't help because it's like you're hungry at weird times.

Congratulations, Mrs. R. You're doing great!

Thanks all!  I was sooooo wound up this morning with excitement about our trip - went to the gym & tried to sweat it all outta me!  :P  The packing is about to begin...our flight out in the morn is at crazy o'clock (6:30 am)!  :o  (Luckily from the airport right by our house!)

All the best for your wedding day, Dr Super!  :)
