Haha! He does like to receive his kudos and "husband of the year" awards! 
We banter back and forth a lot about the girly things I like (i.e. Christmas decorating, chick flicks some times, etc.) he tells me that secretly, he kinda likes it all, but not to tell the guys because he will have to deny it so they won't take the mickey out of him!
Mine doesn't even secretly like them. He's such a 'guy' sometimes.
1. We're off to Manchester later to see Ginger (from the Wildhearts) and to a Sam Smith's pub as an early anniversary gift to ourselves. There are others going with us, but the more the merrier.
2. My feet are so happy in the slippers St. Nick brought me. They are more or less shapeless thick fleece ballet flats from Pound World, but incredibly warm and comfy. I have the feeling Santa will be bringing me another pair or two.
I've had one pair of them for two years now, and I am amazed how well the hold up, including being washed 4 or 5 times during the winter, for only £1. They are also great for airplanes because they keep my feet warm but aren't bulky like slippers would be for confined spaces.
