Two things you are happy about today/

Hooray! Although I love the security of nearly 7 years (21st of this month) of marriage, at times I miss the breathless anticipation of flights across the Atlantic.  So glad you are able to spend the time (and NYE) with your boyfriend and his family. JOY!

Although I'm sure one day I will slightly miss the excitement of flying over after not seeing each other for months....I can't wait for the day we are permanently together!

Oh, I knew I came in here for something... 

1. Flying out to St. Louis today to visit one of my BFFFFF's for the weekend.

2. We're going to have Mexican for dinner, which I haven't had yet since I've been back in the US. Soooooooo excited. 

Yay! Mexican food... jealous!!

Today I am over the moon that the cable and internet are hooked up.

AND that I have TiVo! I <heart> TiVo.

Really, for an unemployed girl, it is the simple things.

1. Snow! Now it really and truly feels like Christmas.

2. Christmas tree pj bottoms and coffee with peppermint mocha creamer adding to the joyous glee I am feeling. I love these pjs, because they are festive without being overly obvious. they are pink with sort of folk art trees in muted shades of reds and greens. Plus they are flannel and toasty warm. 

1. My daughter's dear friend has just given birth to a 9 lb. 14 oz baby boy -- named Oscar!  So happy for them.

2. It's Friday! Yay!

1) No snow here yesterday - hooray! 

2) And the weatherman said that the weather will get milder (warmer!) next week in the runup to Christmas - yaaaaay! 

We had two craptastic winters in a row - it's time for a mild one this year! 

1. We're out later for a friend's 40th birthday pub crawl (weather permitting), and it will be great to see so many friends.

2. Other than one more thing for hubby, we are finished Christmas shopping, and only have three more things we are waiting on to arrive and be wrapped. 

1. Had a lovely chat with my best friend in California on Facebook .

2. I have alot of stuff to watch on my Sky+ box I'm not going anywhere today so I have the couch made up with my pillow & 2 very warm & cozy blankets I will be snug as bug in a rug lol.  

1. The contented, cozy feeling I have today. The flat is nice and warm with the tree and other decorations making it feel festive. The scent of chili coming from the kitchen is blending with the cranberry candle I have going, making an amazingly homey aroma. All I need now is some snow, Bing Crosby singing some carols, and I'd feel like I was in a Norman Rockwell painting. 

2. MIL gave me her receipts she was saving for the Morrisons £25 Christmas voucher, so we could pick up some extra treats if we want. I've decided to use it for the day some friends come over just after Christmas for a "Father Ted" marathon. We've decided it will be a day of munching and watching, so we will need lots of treats for the day. 

1. I am wearing a pair of size 10 jeans that my sister got me for xmas. They were supposed to be "goal" jeans but I tried them on today, and they freaking fit! I don't care if it's vanity sizing or whatever. I'm in them, they fit, I'm not thinking about it any further!!!

2. I wrapped all of the boy's xmas gifts (stuff from me, from his family, my family etc) and got them under the tree And started to decorate the tree, it's beginning to look a lot like christmas!
