1. Spotted a cottontail bunny on someone's front lawn this morning ...

2. Stopped to watch and spotted a woodchuck running around as well!

The wildlife are taking over the neighbourhood.

1. Got another great job!  :D

2. I'm just so happy about everything today. 2011 was a downright sh&tey year for me and 2012 is proving to be my year. I've got a great apartment, great friends, I'm doing exactly what I want to do career-wise. It's just all falling into place. I am so, so, SO incredibly happy with (and thankful for!) my life. And I'm proud of myself for finding enough courage to make it what I want it to be despite how down I felt earlier in the year. :)

Awesome news all the way around! It is finding that initial courage to step out of our rut that keeps so many people in situations they know they'd be happier if they left. I am cheering you on for being one of the people who know when the time is right to close one chapter and start another, even if the transition is going to be a bit bumpy for a while. Here's to continued happiness and success! *raises coffee mug because it is a bit early to toast with anything else*

1. I'm leaving for the UK in less than 8 days!

2. In an effort to buy as many things here that I need for the UK (cause its cheaper, and I will be unemployed next week!) I've been on little shopping sprees...lots of new shoes, dresses, tops, makeup, ect!

So much good news in here, yay!!

1. I signed up to run the Bacchus half marathon in September. It aligns well with my marathon training so I've signed up as a treat. Set on a wine estate, you get wine tastings every 2 miles plus free wine and hog roast at the end!

2. Morley College have just released their course schedule for 2012-2013 and I'm fantasizing about all the sewing and massage courses I'm going to take!
Summer 97 - first visited friends in London
99-00 - studied at Uni of Sussex on exchange
Feb 02 - moved to London on BUNAC
Sep 02 - WP granted (IT skills shortage list)
Sep 04 - WP renewed
Sep 06 - WP renewed again (screwed by 4-5 year ILR change)
Sep 07 - ILR!
March 09 - Citizenship!
July 09 - bone marrow transplant :(
18 Sep 10 - wedding!
Mar 12 - half marathon in Paris! 1:47:12!
Oct 12 - Amsterdam FULL marathon! 3:48:23!

Thanks, PlainPearl.

Happy Birthday, kbee!  Wow, so now you know it will be London. Congrats.

Yup.  Our office is located near St. Paul's, so I'll be down there now.  I'm just so happy to be lucky enough to go over with a job in place.  I never thought that would happen. However, I'll still travel up north to visit DH's family, so we'll have to meet up.  When are you looking to head there, BD?  I know you're retiring soon or have you already?  Now, we just need to find a temporary place to stay for a couple of months until we can find a place.

squirrellypoo, the half marathon sounds interesting and kinda fun.  Enjoy!

Leave work in about 2 weeks! Our sort of squishy plan is for me to go back and forth a few times over the next 6 - 12 months. Helps to at least spread out the lugging over of stuff. Meanwhile I get to clear out the house here  ::)
