1. One more day of work then off for two days.
2. I have a turtlebar defrosting as I type. It should be ready to eat in about 10 minutes!

1. Had Mohs surgery today and - as people kept telling me - it was not bad at all :D The worst part was the headache I developed by having to miss my morning coffee!

2. DH arrives tomorrow :D

1. I think I'm going to treat myself to a little shopping tonight just for me.

And, saving the best for last...

2. My honey booked his flight tix yesterday to come visit in Feb :D (although I wish it were next week!)

1. I think I've lost some weight! (I don't know for sure because my scale needs new batteries) but I def. have lost inches and am fitting into some of my clothes again! Yay!

2. I'm really looking forward to relaxing back with my husband and a few movies and a much needed glass of wine!

Yay for all of those, Amberelle! [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

1. After three years without them because of being in the UK, dad and I are having a Christmas movie night tomorrow night. Yippee! That was one of the traditions I really missed.

2. Hubby and I bundled up, made hot drinks and went out to watch the meteor shower last night. It was spectacular!

1.) A friend's 20 year old daughter on Staten Island has raised thousands of dollars and recieved a ton of donations for an amazing cause of 'Sandy Can't Stop Santa' - for families who's homes were left destroyed and in disarray by the storm- The pictures of all the gifts she was handing out was amazing.

(And its so nice to see some good in people!!!! Connecticut has my heart reeling. My heart is torn for the victims and families) :\\\'( :\\\'( :\\\'()

2.) Seeing my Dad all dressed up as Santa for a professional photography shoot. He has been playing Santa for years now for a few events, but this was his first professional shoot and he looked awesome. He had so much fun too and the kids loved him!!

1. DH is taking me to Barcelona for a long weekend next month for my birthday. Best birthday present ever.

2. I'm happy that none of my gun nut Facebook friends have been arguing for unfettered second ammendment rights in the wake of Friday's tragedy. They did after the cinema shooting this summer, so I was bracing for it this time around.

Our Christmas gifts from both of my brothers arrived today!

1) My oldest brother & his wife sent us £50 worth of Homebase vouchers - yay! We'll be using those in the new year as we are *finally* starting to paint & decorate our house a bit. :)

2) My other brother & his wife sent us a lovely food hamper from Lewis & Cooper - which is what they send us every year. It's always filled with such delicious things & bonus -- no livery meat pâté this year (they finally remembered we don't eat it - that item always got regifted!) but instead a scrummy smoked salmon pâté. ;D

1. I survive work tonight and then I am off for two days! JOY!

2. I'm looking forward to Friday. It is our 8 year anniversary, so we are going out to lunch, to see "The Hobbit", and do a little shopping. Hubby has heard about a beer and cheese shop in the city we are headed to that does a lot of import beers, including Sam Smith's. Woohoo! We can also pick up our cheese for our 2nd annual cheese and "Wallace and Gromit" day.

FREE STUFF!!!

1) Got some FREE booze with £7 worth of Coop vouchers we got as our 'share profits' for having Coop energy as our leccy & gas supplier. It was almost enough to buy 2 4-packs (on offer) of Smirnoff Ice, which my BIL uses instead of lemonade (and along with Advocaat) to make our 'Snowballs' at Christmas. Woo! (I only had to pay £1 from my own pocket.)

2) And I used my Boots loyalty card points to buy a new (Boots No 7) mascara & blusher, FREE -- plus because I got two Boots No 7 products, there was a FREE gift box that came along with that too!

;D ;D ;D

Freebies are great!

1. My Full Body Exam with the derm. showed no further worrisome spots or moles (will have to check back in 6 months though)

2. Ran into a former colleague who commented that she really missed my cataloguing skills.

1. We found a liquor store that stocks some of our fave British beers that we hadn't been able to find so far.

2. I am finished Christmas shopping, other than two gift certificates I am picking up on my way to work tomorrow.
