Two things you are happy about today/

1) I'm at LAX and board the plane in an hour, premium economy on Virgin, and I feel like I'm coming home. I wish I could stay forever but....

2) I've been confirmed for a job starting 7 Jan! My first actual job in my field in over a year. That's huge. I was beginning to think I would never get work. That being said it's only freelance. But still. Yay!

(and yay squirrellypoo - I'm with you even though I've not been running in a while due to my janky ankle)

My mom finally being discharged from the hospital

seeing her getting back to her old self as the night progressed.I am also really glad  she gets to enjoy my children.. This year I realized that time isn't  a sure thing anymore and every  holiday counts..

Awesome news!   

1. Waking up to snow! We were right at the edge of the system, so although we didn't get the massive amount of inches other places did, we have snow.

2. It is still snowing! 

*of course, I have to work today, so I may not be as overjoyed if I slip and slide there and back. The road crews have been out all night and will be out all day, so I should be fine.

1. Took all the wrappings, boxes, etc. to the dump -- it was crowded but better to get it over and done with

2. Took car to the dealer to get indicator light replaced (been wonky for weeks). Would have cost $20 but "free" with my customer service deal 

1. We're off to a late lunch with mom and a nephew at an incredible pizza place owned by one of mom's friends. The food is incredible, the decor is great and we all love the place.

2. There is a chance of more snow late this afternoon and evening.

1. It's my Birthday and I turned the big 3-0!! (Goodbye 20's!)

2. Spent a really lovely day with my hubby! Had good food, Starbucks peppermint mocha, cake, etc!

Happy belated birthday! 

1. The snow is gorgeous! I was out earlier taking pictures until my hands went numb, and plan to get more later.

2. I'm off work, and my nephew is here. We're going to build a snowman later. 

1.)  I had a really lovely holiday season and time off work doing absolutely not much of anything other than celebrating and I feel quite relaxed and recharged.  And yay for 4 bank holidays to make life good!   

2.) Actually happy to be back in the office today - ready to give my mind a workout!  

1) Big snow storm coming!! Yes, I know I'm weird but I can't wait to see it snow good and proper! Although I worry about hubby on the roads, I still get excited!

2) Hubby has FINALLY been given a permanent position (pending standard 6 month probation). He'll still be doing what he's been doing for the last 15 months, but no longer for an agency. On top of that...he's getting a raise    which is good because we just got our duel fuel bill and our monthly debit is going up by  £30 a month

Yay snow! My New England heart has been disappointed with the amount of snow we've gotten. I understand they don't get as much over here, but I just want one good storm. Just one! Then the snow should go away and it should be spring.



My two things are...

1. Mmmm. Warm bowl of porridge.

2. Barcelona next weekend. Yay!

1. I get off work at 8 tonight, then have the next two days off.

2. There is a small chance, but still a chance, of snow tonight and again in the morning.

1. My 21 month old  recognizing the number 5  on   a  speed sign as we were out on  a stroll..

2. DH  (who is on Hong Kong)  this week  missed his  'usual" time to call and I was  nervous  but finally DID hear from him on his NEXT  call time..phew!

2. My sleeping hubby

1. Finally got to see Jonathan Richman last night. He was incredible. Such a magical being of joy, that man!

2. I was right up in the front, which made it even better!
