1. It is inching ever closer to our Iron Maiden/Megadeth getaway in Nashville! Now if the 5th would just get here! We're stopping at mom's on the way there and the way back, so I will get to see Moe. (Still miss my little feathered buddy...)

2. I just agreed to help my friend out at the hotel he manages. It will only be for a month while one of the employees is away, and it is going to kill my sleep, but he was such a champion during our move, it feels good to return the favour. With him in town and us being nearly a 2 hour drive away, he did lot of the scouting for apartments to view, giving us the info on all the utility and net companies in town so we could get things set up, fed us often the first week while the kitchen was being set up, etc. It feels good to do a little bit of something to repay the kindness.

I have a MacBook Pro so I don't know if you have the same, but I just have to do Option (a.k.a. Alt) and 3 which is a bit easier!

1. We're off for our Nashville trip tomorrow! It is only one night, and we're only staying over since it is about a 4 1/2 hour drive after the show is over, but I am looking forward to it.

2. Fall is definitely on the way!

1. The humidity has eased off quite a bit, so it's still warm, but not disgusting.

2. I'm finally sending out my nephew's birthday present today and another package that needs to go. I hate having that kind of stuff sitting around and needing to be done.

to your 1: where are you? We are that distance from Nashville [AtL] and my sis lives near there.

to your 2: I know, right? It's practically balmy here at night.  Mind we've not had much of a summer, but I thought maybe September would be hot.  Not really.  Love it, though, which leads to my #

1. Fall is my favorite. So glad it's coming. My cherry trees are already turning and dropping. Squee!

2. I've been relatively pain free for over a week! Thank you lovely chiropractor and massage therapist: y'all are my heroes.

We are in Vincennes, IN. When we bought the tickets, we were only 2 1/2 hours away, living just a few miles from Santa Claus, IN. But, much as we love both bands we would have driven a lot longer than 4 1/2 hours.

Yesterday's:
1.  Had a good time catching up with mapleleafgirl in town at a yummy Thai place!
2.  Found an unopend Dairy Milk chocolate bar on the steps inside the library.

Today's:
1.  Runner beans and cherry tomatoes (yellow and red) from Mrs Robinson's garden.
2.  Blackberries from the wilds of Horsforth.

Looks like Leeds is a happenin place for UKY folks, yeah?  Happy today about:

1. Finally got into see the Holistic Physician today and things are looking up for once.  She thinks most of my problems are digestive and she put me on a hormone balancing herb and a probiotic AND gave me kudos for a few of the other things I've already been doing. Keep to the course, and I should be doing WELL in a few months. Yay!

2. Still warm today, but not hot and I can smell fall in the air. Windows open and contemplating starting the FALL PURGE [big neighborhood yard sale in a few weeks]. Looking forward to and preparing for a GOOD but BUSY Autumn.
