We finally were able to bury my MIL's ashes this weekend. I was able to make it to the funeral in March, and DH wanted me to be at the burial so we waited until I was here. Tho it took some time to find the deeds to the plot and find a day when all of DH's cousins could also make it. Sad day, but happy she is with parents and brothers and sisters again. The rain stopped just long enough for the graveside service to be done with the sun peeking through the clouds.
And i am gonna cheat cause I have 3 things
Second thing is going to sefton park with friends tomorrow to see the fireworks for my first bonfire night (while living here)
And finally MIL was one of 9 kids, she was the youngest, and DH is the youngest cousin, so all of his cousin's daughters are taking me out Friday for a welcome to Liverpool dinner. Quite lucky that I get along with his entire family and am blessed that his cousins, all older than me, and their children, all my age, have made me feel extremely welcome in my new home. They treat as if I am blood. Really lucked out with an amazing family. And since my family lived ALL over the US, it is a nice change to have people around.
