1. I'm traveling to the US tomorrow to visit my (grown up) kids
2. I found some really nice and nearly new clothes at my local charity shop to wear on my vacation.

Happy to see you back! I've been thinking about you, and missing your happy things in this thread.

Yay for both! I get more excited over 'nearly new' because of the huge savings and knowing after a wash or two, the full price clothes are going to be 'nearly new' anyway.

Mine:

1. Less than 2 weeks til we head across the Atlantic. Yay!

2. Day off work tomorrow.

Oooh.

1. My desk, office chair, and huge mirror were delivered today and my husband put the office furniture together!
2. We're able to get upgraded internet, fibre optic here we come! (we've been on normal broadband since we moved and it's driving us nuts... Once you go fibre optic everything else is slow)

1. Just found out that I got a new job. It pays more than double what I currently earning in my retail job, and I'm finally back in the legal field (I'm a licensed South Carolina lawyer)

2. My husband recently found out that he's been placed on a training scheme to move up in his job after only 9 months with his current employer.

Had a fabulously fabulous  2 1/2 weeks in the UK making memories with family and friends, and arrived home last night.

Joyous reunion with my little featherbutt last night. I really missed him while I was gone.

Sleeping in my own bed. It doesn't matter how comfortable the beds are while you are away, nothing beats your own bed.

We came home to a very happy bird, an even cleaner than we left it house, loads of groceries, an anniversary gift and candy, a new front door Christmas decoration, and lots of other fun little surprises. I think we will go away and let mom birdsit more more often.

Hubs is cooking tonight and it smells amazing

Most of the gifts were wrapped this evening. We didn't go crazy with gifts, because of our recent trip being the 'big' gift, but a few things for each other and some for Joey.

Bought the ham for our Christmas dinner today.

Today is our 11th anniversary.   

We had our anniversary lunch (round 2) at J.Gumbo's. Love their food. It is amazing for 'fast food' cajun. We had round one Friday, when we went for Japanese while out and about anyway.

We made a quick trip into the local Amish market to look for mincemeat filling, to make some lazy mince pies. They didn't have any, but we walked out with pumpkin bread, banana bread, coffee cake and three kinds of cheese, with crackers to go with them. We never can walk out of there empty handed, even if we don't find what we went in for.

Todays:

Today is Joey's second gotcha day. Love that little featherbutt more than I can even explain.

Since I have to work on Christmas, we are meeting mom and dad tomorrow afternoon at our fave Amish place about a half hour from here for a meal and a visit.
