Two things you are happy about today/

Things seem to be moving in the right direction for hubby and me, regarding new jobs. We won't know for a few days yet, but things look good.

Fantastic late lunch at a hibachi and sushi restaurant.

Hubs and I both go for our first trial day for potential new jobs Tuesday. It is sort of a working interview/test to see how we do with the work/dexterity test. The job will be making seats and doors for Toyota. Fingers crossed.

It looks like I am nearly free of a job that is no longer somewhere I want to be.

We have a very small chance of 1 - 3 inches of snow tonight. We are right on the line of the area with the winter storm warning, so it is iffy, but a chance of snow is a chance of snow.

We woke up to about an inch and a half of snow. It wasn't much, but enough to be pretty.

Day off work meant I could relax at home with hubs and my little featherbutt.

We both passed our testing easily, both the written and practical, go for orientation Thursday, then two weeks of training starting Monday. Yay!

Woke up to more snow this morning, and we've had light snow or flurries off and on all day.

My last day working at the hotel was actually supposed to be my day off, but it was today. It was a bittersweet goodbye, for the joy it once was and the way it has ended up.

Orientation tomorrow, then a three day weekend before we start training Monday.

Life at the new job has been pretty good so far. Last week was classroom time with written and physical tests (doing things they do out in the plant, to check our speed and accuracy.)

I found out Friday what I will be doing, and although it will be at a very steady pace, it will be easy enough and something I can easily find my groove for to make it go smoothly.

Booked a summer holiday.

Started listing items on Ebay, Gumtree and Freecycle in preparation for our summer move back to the US.

I'm slowly easing into my new job (working for a company that builds doors and seats for Toyota), but I think once I find my groove I am going to be fine with it, especially for what we are getting paid.

We're headed to visit friends about an hour away on Saturday, and I'm planning a shopping spree at the pet store while we are in town. They have a great selection of bird toys and treats.

It has been a great weekend, visiting with mom, dad and my brother yesterday, then  a tiny bit of housekeeping but mostly relaxing today.

Although I'm a true blue Colts fan, tonight I will be rooting for Peyton anyway.

sometimes it's the little things ...

While in Terre Haute for lunch and a bit of shopping, I found Pendle Witches Brew (Moorhouse) in the liquor store. JOY! It is one of my fave beers, and this is the first time I have found it in Indiana.

We hit 72f today. Capris and flip flops in February? Don't mind if I do!  Of course, we're back to 40s and 50s again starting tomorrow, but it was a fabulous day.

Late breakfast with the best bud today. We were going to meet him for lunch, then the decision was made for breakfast.

With all the overtime we have been working lately, we decided to treat ourselves to a new tv today. Hubs picked out a 65 inch 4K smart tv. Loving the heck out of it, even though it seems a bit like we are spoiled.
