Mom and dad came to visit today. We went on a short road trip to IHOP.

Picked up 3 more bottles of Pendle Witches Brew from the one liquor store I have been able to get it from over here.

Enjoying a peaceful, lazy day at home with hubs and the feathered one.

Feeling quite happy after seeing ultrasound pics of the newest great nephew. He will be here in early July.  [smiley=smitten.gif]

We took a road trip today to see the place we will be working and living. We will be managing a hotel and living in the manager's apartment, on site.

Met mom and dad for lunch and a long talk in the sunshine afterward, on our way back.

1.  Our son has been told he can stop taking blood-thinners which were making him so exhausted and dizzy he had trouble working and even driving.

2.  We finished the federal and state income tax agony yesterday (thanks to DH's greater math skills  ;D)  Now to post them.

Hooray for 2, but super wonderful, much, much happiness hooray for the first one! It must be such a relief! [smiley=juggle.gif] [smiley=hug.gif] [smiley=hat.gif] [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

Mine:

1. Packing is coming along at a steady pace, not rushed and overwhelming, but all will be done in plenty of time.

2. We took a road trip to get Joey a replacement for his fave toy that we can only find at one shop in Evansville. It is a chewable, and he goes through them in a few weeks.

I've managed to sell a lot of furniture to a TV production company prior to our return to the USA. This means I don't have to deal with the hassle of multiple buyers/paying for the local heavy trash service.

Our efforts in renovating a rental property have resulted in finding new tenants in record time.

1. The kitchen is about halfway packed. I'm a bit of a gadget junkie, and the kitchen is always the hardest room to pack when moving.

2. We had a small storm roll through, but it rained enough to clear a lot of the pollen out of the air for a bit.

That's interesting!  What kind of furniture do they look for?

We adopted Lily, a Saluki cross, two weeks ago and we had her off lead today with Mylo. She stuck around and was really good! The two of them are absolutely shattered. I'm tired too. haha.

edit: Mylo's the red fawn on the right and Lily is the red one on the left. The dalmatian is a friend we met today.

I got to Skype with my nephews in Colorado today and they're so cute! My older nephew is starting to actually chat with me and my younger nephew loves interacting with me.

The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

1. Paid rent for the last time yesterday. Bittersweet, since we love this place and absolutely adore our neighbor who is also maintenance man and the one we give rent checks to, but this move means no rent, utilities, cable or net bill (woohoo!).

2. Yet another box ready to go to Goodwill. This move is making me want to purge. After the huge one last year when we moved, I am surprised I have anything left to get rid of.
