1.  got a blue skinny scarf at car boot sale for 50p

2.  got an offer on my car for sale... less than i was asking for, but better than a kick in the chops.

1. Neighbours coming over even after Josh's party (We invited everyone) to say hi, and give him a card and gift.  How sweet, I love it here even more!!!!

2. A great morning with Mindy, chatting away. (Oh and the coffee guy at Costa said, "your the women from NY right?" when I ordered)

1.  it's nearly June and im still using my winter duvet! 

2.  setting up a nice surprise for my pal's birthday tomorrow

2.  Feeling motivated to get stuff done for our move.

1. Buying paint to finally (after many long fought battles) make this place a seem a little more warm and a little more ours.
2.  Buying curtains to replace the red ones with blue elephants on....YAY!!

That must have been difficult, Zeusy.  Your MIL probably had it done to her own tastes and if you'd stormed in as soon as she died and changed everything, it would have looked crass and caused hurt feelings.   Glad to hear the right time has come!  Your FIL will get used to it and even like it, im sure!

2. I woke up thinking it was Wednesday only to realize it was Tuesday! (Wednesday is my 'Sunday' as I work on Thursdays!)

congrats zeusy!! we are in the process of painting the whole flat downstairs and hope to be moved in by next weekend if the landlord hurrys up with the new carpets!! WHAT a difference great paint does! (cocoa in the living room and our master bedroom, light cheery yellow in Poppys room and kitchen, and deep red in the hall way, magnolia everywhere else.)
cannot wait! think we are going with the venetian blinds from ikea.

1. We sold our house to a first time buyer and got £3,000 more than their first offer.

2. The owners of the house we want accepted our offer for £6000 less than their asking price AND they have an empty house to move into!!

That must have been difficult, Zeusy.  Your MIL probably had it done to her own tastes and if you'd stormed in as soon as she died and changed everything, it would have looked crass and caused hurt feelings.   Glad to hear the right time has come!  Your FIL will get used to it and even like it, im sure!

Yeah I know, my FIL was sooo ready for it to change it was just getting the hubby to let go a little, but he likes showing me he is a man with all the DIY he can do.
