I'm a very picky eater but not so many weird habits.

I wont have anything that contains mushrooms - if they've even touched my plate then i wont eat anything else on the plate and will certainly never eat anything that's been cooked with them!  [smiley=puke.gif]

I eat my pizza anti-clockwise in ever reducing circles.

I only ever suck maltesers, never crunch them!

I only eat one brand of bacon and i cut all the fat off so i'm left with just a small circle of bacon and then i fry it until it's sooooo crispy - basically i turn it into a bacon crisp.

So, not too bad...

This is not mine, it's my dads. It's pretty weird, least to me! Last time I was home visiting, mom was doing tacos for dinner. She pulled out sliced american cheese, and started grating it, for my dad's tacos! He doesn't like cheddar, so she has to do shredded american. They also put parmesan cheese on their tacos, that's pretty good, though.

You all are reminding me of Robert off of Everybody Loves Raymond. He could never put anything into his mouth unless he touched it on his chin first.

My only weird food habit that I can think of is that I eat really slowly.  So everybody fisnishes a meal and sits around waiting and watching me eat.   :-[

I know that holding my knife and fork the American way - cutting one bite, setting knife down, changing hands, eating bite - is part of it.  But I also seem to eat smaller bites, or chew for longer or something.  :-\\\\

Even if I hold the knife and fork the English way, don't chat at all, and cut and shovel food into my mouth as fast as I can, I can't keep up with any of my in-laws!

That's a good thing, though. It means you're allowing your stomach time to feed the information to your brain that you've had enough.

One of my biggest problems is that I eat too fast. Means that I'm stuffed by the time my stomache finally tells my brain "whoa, girl, STOP!" :)

I hear you on the eating slow thing.  I can't undertand it, but it seems that I am always the last one finished, even if I have smaller portions and try to eat fast.  If I try to take big bites or swallow too quickly, I get terrible, painful hiccups.

After reading this thread, I think that *I* must be the wierd one for not doing any of this stuff!   ;D

I do like apples spread with  peanut butter, although I think that it's an American thing (I've seen it recommended in diet books as a snack), just like peanut butter & grape jelly, which the English seem to think is wierd.  Sometimes I mix the latter together in a bowl before I put it on the bread, but it's not necessary.

When I was a little kid I used to love plain yellow mustard on white bread.  My Dad let me eat as much as I wanted to one time, and it was years before I could bring myself to try it again.

Also, I like bread and butter pickles on leftover roast turkey sandwiches.  DH thinks all pickles are disgusting, but it's the only way I will eat cucumbers.
