Does anyone else have bars in their town that sort of specialise in vodka drinks?  'Cause we do & so far it's my favorite bar in Leeds (but I've not been to too many).

We have a vodka bar in Edinburgh called Bar Kohl.
It doesnt specialise in 'vodka drinks', but in flavoured vodkas... they've got like a hundred different flavoured vodkas!  Most people are just drinking them neat, rather than mixed with anything.

Cool!  We have two bars here called Revolution -- they tend to attract young folks (like univ-age) but I don't mind that really.  They have lots of different flavoured vodkas, but also every kind of vodka cocktail you can think of & I think some they just made up...starting with cosmopolitans, vodka martinis, and going on from there.

I have had vodka neat, but I don't think my liver (or something) likes it!  After just one or two, I start to feel kinda poorly...so I stick to mixed drinks now. :-\\\\

Me too. I'm not sure why that is, though, because I like my whisky neat. Vodka somehow doesn't like me unless it's mixed.

Not quite a motor car but sure as hell races the intoxication levels!

TVR - Tequila, Vodka & Redbull

I've usually have it once I've had a few drinks and have that feeling of 'theres some blood in my alcohol' !! - good for keeping energy levels up for having a dance or two amongst other things!

For those who have stomach's lined with steel, I remember one of the corner shops at university that did some specialty Polish & Russian Vodka's which were 93-95% Alcohol by Volume!

We bought a bottle one time and um, lets just say I fell over!

I'm NOT having a drink until the weekend...

cheers! Dennis! West London & Slough UK!

If you're into shots, i love lemon drops.  You take a shot of vodka, a lemon slice and a bit of sugar.  Put the sugar on the lemon slice, do the shot and then suck the lemon.  Yummy, but gets me a bit snockered.

I also used to drink a lot of flavored vodka.  My fav was either Stoli orange or absolute citron with seven-up or sprite.  You don't really notice the vodka though, so they can be a bit dangerous.

Has anyone else feel in love with the Pomegranate vodka made by Pearl?   It is so yummy with sprite or 7UP if you are in the US. I mix it with juices here as I am not a fan of tonic.

We have a Revolution in Edinburgh as well, but i've not been inside.

I'm experimenting with various mixers, cos i've been doing some pretty stupid things lately under the influence of neat vodka!  :-\\\\

I have had a mudslide that drink was very good. but I usually just bought the premade ones from the liquor store back home.
you can get these here! There called mudshakes. I've gotten them at ASDA and Sainsburys. I love them but I tend to suck 'em down way too fast. They taste exactly like choc yoohoo to me!

I'm not a fan of the premixed ones. They're much nicer when you make them yourself. And much stronger!  ;)

One of my favourite bars in London is Garlic and Shots http://www.garlicandshots.com/  It's a bit crazy, but lots of fun.

I usually like to drink either Coke or Orange with vodka - although I'm not really a big vodka drinker anymore (due to an incident involving several shots of the stuff within a couple of hours and a very bad hangover a few years back).

Just a note to those who like Vodka with Red Bull - I don't drink Red Bull, but I've recently discovered that it is really not good for you at all. The average can contains as much caffeine as in 16 cups of coffee!! That much caffeine is not good for your body and causes a rise in blood pressure and a fast heartbeat. Combine it with alcohol and it is a dangerous combination (stimulant + depressant = bad) - there was an article about it in The Metro this morning.
