How long before returning to States after UK Citizenship?

Once one has obtained his/her UK Citizenship, is that a done deal?  Or is there a specific amount of time required to spend in the UK?
I.e., is it okay to get citizenship/British Passport, then move back to the U.S. with an undetermined date of returning to U.K.?

(as compared with a settlement visa, which requires a certain amount of days spent in the U.K. to remain valid)

Done deal.

Although when you make the application you will have to state that you intend to make the UK your home.  This is not binding, but it might be politic to leave it a short while before going back.

Don't go back for good though!
