Oh I miss Ruffles so so much!!  :'( I could sit and eat an entire bag. Same with Cheetos. Sigh.  But I do like Walkers a lot and would rather eat cardboard than McCoys.

I should have had my friend from Philly bring me some Ruffles on her last visit but I forgot. She did bring me some new Hershey's Swoops. If Pringles were made of chocolate, this would be them. They're great!!!  ;D

I guess none of you Ruffles lovers have tried (or like) Walkers Max crisps?  :-[

I've tried them jodrell, but I like skinny wimpy chips, not thick ones, so they weren't for me.

That being said, I didn't know they had cheese & onion... I'm ALL over the cheese & onion...

Does anyone remember Charles' Chips?  They were chips that came in a large tin and if I remember right, were delivered to your home.  It's been a long, long time since I've seen them.

Ashley.. don't know if you know of this, but there's now Guacamole and Green Salsa flavored Doritos here :)  Haven't yet tried the guacamole, but the green salsa is decent (if not a little warm)!

They've got lime flavoured ones too, they're kind of gross. And I think they have curry flavour too, I haven't tried those.

The dorito brand salsa is good with the lightly salted tortilla chips. Only brand of tortilla chips that are any good.

Yes they do Doritos in the UK...I had a ton on the last trip.  Bad carbs, bad me..bad bad.  The only annoying thing is the plain ones seem to always have lime flavoring, which is ok but not my favorite.  You can get them at Asda and the local liquor store usually.

Oh, but they seem to have done away with that Tostidos warm up cheesy salsa stuff in the UK.  Must not have sold very well.  This has made my poor fiance very depressed. :'(  Must make a mental note to pack some for next trip...hehe.

They do have Doritos here, but not the same flavors. I mean, Doritos in the UK are different flavors than the US, and Doritos in the US are different flavors than the UK.

US: Guacamole, Salsa, Nacho Cheese, Cool Ranch, Spicy Nacho, Four Cheese, Ranchero, Salsa Verde, Toasted Corn, Taco

UK: Cool Original, Extreme Chilli Heatwave, Tangy Cheese...at least this is what the web site says, but I have seen also: Lime and Coriander (and I think others too)

Thar ya go Caitlinn..just don't make me add those Dill Pickle Flavored ones..... ;)

Speaking of which....anyone ever tried Fried Dill Pickles with a side of Ranch?  <-----only in the South of the USA!!!!  ::)[/quote

My husband was so surprised at just how many things are dipped in Ranch over here--I must admit, I like to dip pizza in Ranch among other things. I remember that I could only find Paul Newman ranch in the Uk, so am stocking up on the Hidden Valley powder stuff this time around.

Hubby was surprised about the pickle frying thing, and absolutely floored to see pickled pigs feet in the redneck shop down the road  :o

Thinking about it, I am amazed that he hasn't grabbed me by the arm and dragged me back to England by now  ;)

The Guacamole Doritos in the US were kind of a disappointment.  I guess I like guacamole for the texture, not just the flavour.  And they looked a little - well, fuzzy - coming out of the bag... :P

There are *plain* Doritos here in the UK - Lightly Salted ones.  I like the Curry ones, but the Hint of Garlic are my favourite - with Sainsbury's guacamole!

And Caitlinn - I most certainly do remember Charles Chips!  Had them delivered when I was a kid in Miami!  I remember waiting for that large van to come up, the brown speckled tins full of crisps AND chocolate chip cookies!

Last time I checked, they were still in business, too.  That was a few years ago.  But now I've got to check again, now you've brought it up!

For a while you could buy the Charles Chips in U-Save (a grocery chain that I think has gone bankrupt).  I was SO thrilled to see them there and be able to buy them for my kids - especially since the youngest is named Charles!  ;D
