Hi I may be a little late to this thread but I just want to assure you that using a hand blender to make your pumpkin pie will work fine!!!

(It's the first appliance I bought since moving here to the UK and I use it for just about everything - I even use it for hummus and meringues, works great!)

So go ahead and use your hand blender! Bon appetit!

i make the cooks illustrated pumpkin pie recipie... it has you heat up the filling while you're partially pre-cooking the crust... this helps with cooking times & sogginess... it assumes i have a food processor... i'm just going to use a blender and see how it all turns out...
If you harbour bitterness, happiness will dock elsewhere.
