Financing a Computer

I would like to get Peter a computer for Christmas. I found a perfect one from Dell and would like to finance it. Unfortunately, for their financing they require that you have been a resident in the UK for 3 years....
Does anybody know of a computer store or site that will finance without this requirement? I can't just use a credit card because our limit is too low, despite making a very very good salary!

Some companies offer a government-incentivised scheme where you can buy a computer at a discount, or which you can pay for over time, it might be worth asking if your employer offers this scheme as sometimes it's not very well publicised.

You might want to try egg.com, you can apply online for the card or personal loan and get an immediate decision, and I've had a good experience with them the past couple of years. I probably wouldn't have my car if not for them. I'm not sure about the residency requirement though.
