Ipod Nanos and adapters?
« on: November 28, 2006, 04:24:31 PM »
Has anyone had any experience with their Ipods or nanos blowing up with the adapters?
What has been your experience?

Hi Kath,
I actually just mentioned this on my last post, but I plug in my iPod (30G, video) with just a plug adapter, no voltage adapter. I have friends who moved here with their US iPod and she told me it works fine with just the plug adapter. She was right. Don't bother going to Apple and getting their fancy ones. Radio Shack's work just fine!

I bought the adapter set from Apple, so I can plug in no matter what country I'm in. (I have an I-pod mini) I had no problems at all with it.

As with the laptop power supplies, if the unit is marked "90 to 250 volts" or something similar, it should be fine with just a plug adapter (or suitable replacement power cord if it is a detachable type).
