Want to arrange holidays...travel agencies for singles?
« on: December 03, 2006, 11:23:34 PM »
Well.. I would like to travel.. but I don't have a significant other/travel buddy to go with. So I am in need to book a holiday for singles. However, I ran into the problem that almost all holidays offered at great prices require a minimum of two adults!

Does anybody know of a travel agency, web-site or whatever that catter for singletons??

Do you have any single friends who like to travel? My best friend and I got Eurail passes two summers ago and had the time of our life travelling around.

Are you into adventure travel?  My BF just returned from a trip to Borneo.  He was in a group of 9 and everyone was a "single" traveler.  I put that in quotes because some of the people on his trip were married, etc., but their partner's didn't take the trip.

He booked the trip on www.explore.co.uk

If you do like adventure travel, about five years ago, I went on a fabulous trip through Wilderness Travel. They're not set up specifically for holidays for singletons, but to me that was a good thing -- I wasn't looking for a 'dating' trip, I just wanted a holiday where I didn't stick out like a sore thumb for being on my own. Their trips are amazing and are restricted in size so you really do get a lot out of everything. We had 12 people, 3 couples and the rest single people. They're US-based, but do trips all over the world.

Have fun! I'm jealous -- I love planning holidays!!

I did a Contiki tour back in '98 (And another in 2002) It was fantastic and geared toward people aged 18-35.  I met so many wonderful people from all over the world that are still my friends today.

I signed up on my own and did a 12 day tour of Europe.  I met people beforehand on the message boards they set up.  It was one of the best times of my life. ;D
