In the past couple of weeks, since I took up geocaching, I have been quite a bit of walking. Not just out in the woods but also in Central London. On Monday I went for a walk in the City which took me from Monument to Farringdon. All in all that was just over 4 miles. Today I walked from Hyde Park Corner to the Strand, the long way, via Piccadilly Circus then Holborn. That was over 3.5 miles.
I have been on Weight Watchers (for the second time) for a couple of months now but wasn't very serious about it. I am this time. My husband has lost over a stone and I have lost 10 pounds or so.
My point is, not is geocaching fun but it also makes you excercise! With WW you get activity points, which you can then eat, via excercise. At a time like this (the holidays), I need all the extra points I can get! I got 5 activity points on Monday and 4 today. That's quite a bit and all this while having fun, sightseen and getting to know London. I'm in heaven!
I follow pre-designed routes, sometimes I by me other times by books, etc. So, if anyone else out there would like to join me, you are more than welcome to. I will be starting the walking club after the New Year but this is a more informal thing. I do it during the week so I realize it's not for everyone. I just thought I'd put it out there since it would probably be a lot more fun with company!
