Now, here's a few questions to start:
Mail - how to forward internationally?  Also, my lovely creditors have refused to let me online to pay my bills and a renown large store here (begins with S, ends with S) won't even set up to take money out of my American account.  Anyone had this issue?  They're telling me sweetly that I can still call to make my payments.   So thoughtful of them.

If it's bills you are worried about, why not have the post office forward your mail to a relative for the time being until you can complete a change of address form? I knew my new address ahead of time so I just filled out the form on my bills for the new address and made them send it overseas before I moved. Then if they complain you haven't paid your bill you can just say you never received it because they didn't change your address. If they want your money, they'll send the bill wherever. And if the large store you are talking about has "ear" in it too then they will change your address and mail the bill to the UK.

Definitely keep your US bank account if you can. I still have my credit union account even though I've finally paid off all my US debts.  :D It's just handy.
