Hi i am trying to figure out the transfer fee if i transfer funds from my UK-Paypal account to my US-Paypal account.

I tried to search on paypal's site but did not see anything pertaining to this type of transfer.

Both accounts are multi-currency accounts, which means i can accept deposits made to my account in foreign currencies.

...just need the transfer fee breakdown, if anyone has actually done this in the recent past please let me know.

many thanks
Saycheese

Most of us stopped using paypal because of the limited amount you can transfer and the fee's.

I use www.xetrade.com

Probably not answering your question, sorry!

Unfortunately, you don't get the amount charged until after you see the transfer in the other paypal account. To give you an idea, I transferred 450 and ended up with around 400. The fee is a lot but to be honest, because I can send it directly from my UK bank into my UK paypal account then send it directly to my US paypal account and then directly to my bank makes it easy because it's all one step. Can xetrade do this? If so, I am ALL ears. I hate PayPal

Haunted, great reading material on xetrade here   :)

Be very careful. I did that exact thing to get money to my daughter when she was in the US (she had my American PayPal debit card). They froze my transfer...the money happened to be to pay for her visa. It took them over two weeks to unfreeze it...and when I spoke with them they specifically said that PayPal was not meant to handle those types of transactions. So I advise trying another method. We switched to Western Union.

Yeah I read about all that recently. Fortunately, it's not really all that much and I've done it about 6 times already in 6 months. If they did that, they really wouldn't have a right. I know the problems with them though. I had a fraud transaction and told them about it and refunded the money straight away. PayPal admitted that but still froze my account for almost 8 months because they wanted more than proof to prove it was my PayPal account. To make a long story short, they screwed me over and I only use them when I must. Western Union actually seemed worse with charges from what I could gather
