Goldfish are here. They have them in my little local shop.

Yup, Goldfish aren't hard to find in the UK!

Lucky y'all - I've scoured every grocery store (Sainsbury, Morrisons, Tesco, Asda, Smithfield, Bell's, etc. etc) in a 50-mile radius and the best I've been able to come up with is vinegar-flavoured "Finz."  :P  They're certainly proving to be rather thin on the ground in my part of the UK!

They are called Finz, rather than Goldfish, but I've been able to find cheddar flavoured ones in the past. I haven't looked for them for ages, though.

*nods*  I went looking for Finz specifically after reading on a thread here that they'd been found at Tesco - no luck finding cheddar ones, though, at least not at the local one in Coulby Newham.  I haven't had a chance to check out any Waitrose locations, though, and I've heard they tend to carry quite a bit of American food - perhaps if we manage to make it down to Oxford later this month I'll get a chance to check in the stores there. :)

LOL! So funny! May I be a cracker warrior too?

I really miss Wheat Thins...I even remember the theme song! ( How sad! )

                      ''Wheat thins
                        something like a cracker,
                         but more like a snack!

I know this is more along the lines of snack foods, but what about Chex Mix? I miss that sooooo much...Any chex product actually!

Oh I forgot about Corn Chex :( I miss those.

Vegetable thins used to be my weakness. There's no way I'd ever find them here.

When I was back in NY in October, most of my suitcase to take back here to the UK was food and most of that was Goldfish, Saltines and Cheetos. I can't stand being without them. I've yet to see Goldfish here. The only thing Pepperidge Farm is the cookies

DH has fallen in love with goldfish crackers.  He's already said he's devoting an entire suitcase to them when we move back as he'd never seen them until he came to the US.  He can eat an entire bag in one sitting.

Can you buy chex cereal or something similar in the UK?  I  know there are loads of recipes online to make your own chex mix if you can.

Outrageously priced, true, but they do have Triscuits and Goldfish, among other things.
They do deliver.  But if you live anywhere near Hampstead, you might try going to the shop itself.

Not sure...The only thing I've seen that comes close are Shreddies..I think they are sweetened though?

Wow, I could really go for a bowl of Rice Chex now! ;D

Rosslyn deli appears to be some sort of foreign buyers club.

At the moment, those are not encouraged by the self-appointed leader of Cracker Warriors.  A necessary evil, perhaps... but not a part of the 5 year plan.

Over 4 pounds for a box of Triscuits!?!   Load yer suitcases, warriors!  The black-cracker market is obviously waiting.  (Also not part of the plan, though..)

Oh, I don't think you can buy Stoned Wheat Thins in the US.  They are very very good... and I will fight for all of you to be able to buy them.  Quite large crackers, quite hard, with toasted wheat grains here and there.  Won't crumble if you want to spread something like peanut butter on them.  Not oily like wheat thins or strong-tasting like triscuits.  Perfect for many cracker applications.

Shreddies come in plain. (No sugar).   There should be a generic version here, too...?

I can taste them now.. and picture that blue box.   No, I don't think you can get them in the States, just in Canada.

I got mega sick of goldfish when my kids were little and I used to buy them by the huge milk carton at Costco.  I think my kids lived off them for most of their young lives.  I really don't care to ever eat them again!

Now cheezits, are another story especially the hot ones.  Mmmmm..

Stoned Wheat Thins I was picturing more along the lines of, "Don't bogart the cheese, man."   [smiley=smoking.gif] [smiley=dozey.gif]
