Chary, you've got geographical issues that need to be overcome!  ;)

Tell me about it.

Here's one in Ealing:

Courtney, would it be too kinky for you to do it together? Dinner after work one night?  ;)

Oh that's a GREAT idea! Let's do it.

Helen? Wanna come into town and make it a threesome?  ;D

I've never known anyone who doesnt like Nandos!

<Raises hand> I don't care for Nando's.  I was not impressed at all...and the long wait I always see for a table just boggles my mind.

me too. I really don't like the concept of find the number of your table and then order... you expect a restuarant and then it's like cafeteria style. I thought the same thing when I heard all the hype about Sonoma Chicken Coop in CA.

I think this ranks up there with having assigned seats at the cinema.  :P

oh, right... food was okay but nothing to write home about.

Strange...

we just normally go up to order, they give us a number, take us to our table and get served in like 5 mins or less...:-/

I agree. It's basically just a fast food joint. I can't be impressed by any eatery that doesn't have waiter service - and it has to be good waiter service.

Oh well, what a shame!  ::)

More for the rest of us, and shorter queues, then.  :)

Didn't mean to sound snooty.

It's just that for me, dining out is about the whole experience, not just the food (and Nando's food didn't really excite me that much, anyway).

I guess people have become so used to McDonald's culture that they've forgotten what food service is supposed to be like.

I guess to me it was no different than any other pub you would go to in the UK where you order your food at the tills and have it brought to you. I didnt think it was a big deal.

LOL... you did sound VERY snooty!  ;D

The thing is, we all know it's a fast food place.  No one is expecting any sort of great service.  I think most of us are just saying we like the food.  Lovely spicy chicken that isnt fried or breaded or fake.  And they have different side dishes that you dont get in other fast food places, such as bowls of spicy olives, and spicy rice.  And the free refills on soft drinks  (with as much ice as you like!) is also something you dont get in other places.

Different strokes, eh?  ;)
