Couldn't stand Good Charlotte at all because one of the things I detest most in life is people who act like they are still on a school playground making fun of people.  Behaviour like that is totally unacceptable. I felt like I want to smack them and say grow up!  If they had any constructive criticism then I would have thought a bit higher of them.  It would be one thing to comment on the way the stylist dressed them or something they should have done vocally.  But I won't go on because behavior like that gets me heated!

How is he still in?!?!

(can't wait to see FunGirl's Sanjaya pic today!)

Ugh.  I've given up on Sanjaya.  He'll be in the top three, I just know it. ::)

We've got to get rid of Haley.  Now.

Absolutely. She's utterly useless.

Which is why she wears practically nothing... and bounces.  I'm thinking about sending the girl a bra. :P

Um... then this may not be the best thread for you to visit.  Pretty much the whole point is making fun of people. :-\\\\

Sorry but I thought it was to discuss not belittle and make fun of.

Anyway, do you think Howard Sterns tactic is working by trying to keep Sanjya in?  I can see where pre-teen girls would be attracted to him but when he comes out on stage he just doesn't have a very strong voice. Some of the songs he sings need energy and all I hear is kind of the same breathy sound the whole way through.

Well I like to discuss but also to have a little fun with it. As for Sanjaya I can only imagine the VFTW is having some sort of impact, but also probably the underdog instinct. I can't see him lasting much longer, but he does have charm and the fact he is coming out smiling and giving it his all when he is clearly totally lost counts for something. Remember this is the show that launched William Hung.

I think this thread is for anything AI-related, with no restrictions. Some people like to just discuss, and others (myself included) enjoy a little mockery! But please don't condemn us for having fun!

A little Mockery ;D :P

It's all in fun.  I think there are more people on there that I would not make fun of though.

What do you think is going on in Sanjaya's head each time he is not out.  "Huuhhh, wait, it's not me, really?  Thanks Howard ;D"

I loved all their new hair styles btw.

Oh yes! Forgot about William Hung!  lolYeah, I have to agree.  Sanjaya always comes out so peppy and happy.  VFTW seems to be everywhere now, so I think Howard Stern has got the impact he desired.  In a way, it does kind of show how things can be "tampered".  lol But I guess that's why it's called American Idol... it's what America wants...  or does it?   :)

There was a huge article in this week's Enquirer (yes, I read it, religously) about how Idol fans are very upset at the how VFTW is impacting the votes, and while I always thought of myself as a little 'cooler' than AI, I found myself agreeing with the guy who said, 'it's supposed to be a singing contest'. That's why I like to watch it, to see/hear the singers, and hope the best singer wins. But it's all to play for, I don't think when it comes down to the top 3, VFTW will have that much of an impact, and at that point it will be the best 3 singers (Melinda, Lakisha and ?). My money is on Lakisha, I love her.

I realize now that AI is just this generation's Star Search.

And probably some pre-teen boys...

I didn't even watch this past weeks episodes.  It's making me frustrated that so many horrible singers are still hanging on.  Maybe I'll be back to watch the finals, if they've got decent singers in it.
