Best: (so many!) HP sauce, mince pies, lamb, Branston pickle, Cadbury's chocolate, and trifle!

Worst: canned hot dogs (SO WRONG), prawn cocktail crisps, and generic English pork sausages (grosssss when you grew up with either Jimmy Dean or spicy chorizo/Mexican-style sausages).

favorite:  salt and vinegar crisps, Cadbury trifle
worst:  I can't bring myself to eat any of these.  The thought alone makes me sick:  canned hot dogs, black pudding, and scotch eggs.

Weird but true... except for the canned hotdogs and some regional items, we have all that stuff in Canada.

Best:  The gigantor Marmite containers available here.  The amazing variety in bread.

Worst:  pub food.  The beer isn't so great, either... coming from a micro-brew town...

I think there are canned hotdogs in the US. A friend of mine in RI feeds her 3-year-old a diet a bit too heavy on the canned hotdogs, imo.  :-\\\\

My fave would definitely be the amazing cheese here. Mmmmmm..........

Also small, juicy strawberries that actually taste like strawberry!

Bad stuff would include black pudding, etc., but then I don't eat most meat so that's not a surprise. And I've never tasted it, so who knows? I might love it!! (probably not)

Why would anyone eat MuckDonalds when they could just starve with dignity?  ;D

When I lived in the US (I'm a Brit), my favourites were fresh deli-made sandwiches like a hot corned beef reuben. The most disgusting things were the breakfasts places like Carrows serve. Tiny strips of greasy 'bacon' and even tinyer sausages served with rubber eggs and worst of all sticky-sweet blueberries, strawberries and whipped cream served on top of the fried eggs and bacon!  :o

Like the stuff at the bottom of this page http://www.carrows.com/menu_breakfast.htm  :-X

Never heard of this place but it reminds me of IHOP. Is it bad I like the sticky blueberries and greasy bacon, etc? I never eat breakfast as a whole but when I do it's usually at a place such as this  ;D

Of course it's not bad if you like it, it's just that my stomach loves all sorts of weird food but draws the line at fried pork and whipped cream together!  :P

LOL I see your point. Then again, I have a stomach like a heavily pregnant woman in the sense that I always eat weird things together. Although this week and half a stone lighter because of pneumonia, the sound of pork and cream turns me  [smiley=puke.gif]
