Mr snuppy if you need any other fake gift ideas sorting let me know managed 6 birthdays and 6 christmas's so far and haven't spent a penny  ;D .  It is great what you can mock up on the internet, mind you I am a little worried that when Helena moves here (x fingers) she might try and claim her her rights of Barroness of Greater Manchester then I will be for it again.

Oh no just thought last year I sponsored a dolphin at chester zoo they don't even have dolphins  :( I wonder if I can pretend it was an otter.

They should give you your own advice spot on the site!
~ Strangely enough I had thought on similar lines as your recommendations ~ But thought I'd get sussed far too easily as my lady is a Geek and would just check on the Internet whether or not she had actually received the Title of Lady of the Manor of Windsor!

Love your style ~ Think I will learn loads from you!

PS. Have you thought of explaining that Helena's sponsorship of the dolphin actually paid for it's repatriation back to it's natural habitat ~ Sea World, Florida ? Just a thought! ;D

Or maybe I could just serve tuna up on the first night and tell her they were running short of water and as it's main sponsors we got to eat it.  I wonder it dolphin is tuna friendly.

You're quite right, dear Mr Snupy:  the cards started in Victorian times.  According to my source, "Sending special letters probably dates from the mid-18th century, and grew steadily more popular. Special writing paper was available in the 1820s; the commercially produced card appeared around 1840, and by the 1860s was big business." (Oxford Dictionary of English Folklore).

Yup!  And don't forget golf and lawn tennis - we're no good at those either!

Thanks Howard,

My good lady is sure that I'm part Goldfish cos of my mental abilities ~ Or lack of them! My head just is full of bits of useless info, facts and trivia, so I hope I can rely on you to correct my semi-remembered part truths!

I had thought of Golf ~ But didn't include it with the Sports as it is more just walking along whilst lashing about with a metal stick! ~ Or am I playing it wrong?  [smiley=confused.gif] ???

Yeah, but that could kill the mood for the first night! ~ Suggest you leave it till 2nd night or prey that the jet-lag will dull her emotional upset responses!  :'(

And yes, I think dolphins are tuna friendly cos you often see them playing and chasing after them in those wildlife documentaries!  ;D

Personally I don't give roses after an awful fearfull day as a 7 year old it was snowing I returned home from school to see a strange car in the drive I walked into the house to see a man beating on my little puppy scamps chest he had eaten some roses that had been bought for my mom and the thorns had stuck in his little wind pipe oh the woe.

I dont give Orchids as my dad whilst having a couple of pints returned home with orchids for my mom and looking for a vase only found the one unluckily it had my goldfish in it who died of orchid poisoning.  Then there was the day I got lost in a huge flower shop and spent hours in fear chasing down aisles screaming for my mom that is why all flowers bring me out in a rash.

I find if you make these things up early in a relationship they don't question it later  ;D .  Of course if she ever finds out off my dad or mom I wasn't allowed pets I will be in trouble.  That isn't strictly true I wasn't allowed a pet after the first one that I felt sorry for took it out of it's cage ran upstairs opened the windows and launched it gently skyward saying "Be free fly my beauty fly" at the age of 6 I was un aware that they clip pets wings I'm not using that as an excuse though honestly, what with it being a rabbit.

ZAP for King/President! [smiley=crown.gif]

~ We are not worthy! That must be one of the most perfect humourous 'rants' I heard for ages, well at least since my good Lady forced allowed me to watch one of her beloved Eddie Izzard tapes! ;D

Possibly a 10/10, if that were possible! ~ Cos it was not only hilarious but highly informative and useful too ! ~ Keep up the good work! [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

fear not miss Snupy I will defend your right to post here and all that jazz there should be no separatism in this place (it's not as if your French  ;D )

Dictionary.com has this to say on the subject of spouses - A marriage partner; a husband or wife

so if Mr Snuppy has or is going to propose then you are ok to come in here and post away.

Mr snuppy as a thought a marraige proposal is a great gift it is free and after the ring gets lost in the post  ;) you get loads of sympathy too.

ZAP thanks for defending Snupy, but as anyone who has crossed her before (well those still able to speak!) would tell you she can more than handle herself! ~ She could teach Lara Croft [smiley=whip.gif] a thing or two, and is medically trained, so believe me I think she knows how to hurt a man!  :P

And with respect to our marriage intentions, well thats between us!  But one thing that we have recently discovered is that as we are both over 28 years old it would make our lives a heck of a lot easier to be married rather than 2 singles! Living and working in each others countries legally is really tricky and has mountains of red tape to negotiate as a lot of people on this website will be aware!

As a seasoned batchelor it's quite hard to believe I'd ever say that getting married would make my life easier!
[smiley=huh2.gif] ;D

~ In fact getting married and hence becoming spouses would shortcut the whole legal process of wanting to be with each other for the rest of our days as well as officially qualifying us to add to this thred!  ;D

PS. ZAP as it's Snupy's birtday soon-ish and she has warned me not to get her anything expensive!  [smiley=thinking.gif] But I've heard marriage can be quite costly, or so Lionel Richie seemed to be saying!  :-/  However, your proposal idea has been taken on board under advisement! :-/ ;D

But I like being defended! What else are men for, besides being used for their bodies??? :P
