i made an incredible bread & butter pudding last night, using brioche rolls for the bread, which i sliced open, buttered, and then spread with ginger jam.  I soaked my raisins in rum, and then poured custard over the lot!

Ooooh, that reminds me, I found a recipe for Rhubarb bread and butter pudding that sounds so good. I can't wait for it to be in season to try it. I've never thought of using brioche before, but that sounds incredible!

I just saw a cooking show today where she made a bread and butter pudding using brown bread and ginger jam with butter. She then put in something, not sure if it was raisins or what as DD was talking to me at the time and then made her custard with cream, eggs & sugar. She topped with bits of butter, some brown sugar and crystalized ginger. It looked so good when it came out of the oven.

Both of those recipes have me positively drooling! I adore bread and butter pudding. I haven't made it in ages, but I usually do it with marmalade - ginger jam sounds fab, though.

Cuban bread pudding, it's in the oven right now.  Cuban bread pudding is VERY different from the bland UK stuff I should add!

Pineapple Upside Down Cake yesterday, found this recipe in a new (to me) recipe book from the used bookstore, tasted just like when I was a kid!

Banana Bread, Banana Nut Muffins, and a Banana nut cake.  I went a little wild with the batter.
