I've got some leftover candied ginger and a few other ingredients I need to use up, so I've been meaning to bake some gingery gingersnaps (even though it isn't exactly the season for it) and I might also make some more raspberry bakewell bars, too. Hopefully I'll find the time to do both tonight!  :)

Banana bread with chocolate chips to send into DHs work. I have a bunch of bananas to use up. I'll make another loaf for us this weekend!  ;D

Peach cake, which was really more like peach cobbler with too little peaches.  I won't make it again.

oatmeal chocolate chip raisin cookies
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

oatmeal chocolate chip raisin cookies

Has anyone ever tried (I'm sure someone has!) making oatmeal cookies with chocolate covered raisins? I've always wondered how that would turn out, yet, I still haven't tried.  :P

Great idea!  I've done with raisins and choc chips, but not choc covered raisins.  I wonder if the chocolate would stick to the raisin or seep into the cookie dough during baking?  I bet it would be good either way!

the Clone of a Cinnabon recipe from the US allrecipes website...with a few mods it came out perfect! But I had to double the recipe so hubby could bring some into work, then in-laws took some...so I was left with only 3...oh well, just means I need to make more!

Sounds good. I've never heard of the Hummingbird Bakery, but the Book People dropped off some books for us to look at this week, and there is the CUTEST tin of Hummingbird Bakery notecards with pictures of cupcakes on the front and recipes for them on the back (like blank inside sort of notecards) with pink envelopes. So cute and girly. Me wants!  :)

Hummingbird bakery is lush Jewlz!
The one on South Ken is my favourite haunt, but the portobello Road is the original I believe.
They do American sweet pies, key lime, mud, pecan, pumpkin etc :)

The cookbook is definitely on my Amazon wish list, I'll have to pick it up sometime :)
