Hi all,

First time posting on this thread. Just got my ILR yesterday.

On Friday-I baked some goodies for hubby's birthday:

Banana Pecan muffins
Banana white chocolate chip muffins
Banana blueberry muffins

(Had to do something with those bananas!)

Cheers!

ooh care to share the recipes for the last two, they sound yummy!

Yesterday I made soda bread to take to my husband's Irish aunt and uncle when we went to lunch, and today I finally made my husband's very belated birthday cake - an orange and bourbon glazed pound cake (I had swine flu over his birthday in December and promised him his cake at a later date!)

Yesterday I made chocolate chip cookies for our harp rehearsal which is on Sunday (I won't get a chance to bake over the weekend), and today I'm baking a loaf of Irish soda bread.

I made the caramel delight/samoas from the make-your-own-gs-cookies link in IA and they are delicious but took almost 4 hours (for the bars, not the donut-shaped ones). Part of the problem was that we couldn't find chewy caramels that don't have chocolate so I had to make my own and burnt my hand (good thing the mixing bowl was in the sink, full of cold water).  Did I mention they're delicious? And I got 36 cookies out of it.

Meusli muffins.  They were OK when fresh-baked, but now they taste like warm soggy congealed raisin bran cereal.  :P At least there's only one little piece left.

Next I'm making less healthy muffins--chocolate with white chocolate chips!  :)

I made a chocolate marble cake last night and baked a loaf of bread this morning to have with lunch.  I think I might make some rolls tomorrow morning.  :)
