I made a honey and oatmeal loaf last night. Haven't made fresh bread in forever, and after all the kneading I never wanted a Kitchenaid mixer as much as I did then!It ended up tasting a bit like a soft pretzel which was unintended, but ive had half the loaf already so it can't be too bad!

Peanut butter fudge and a loaf of brown bread. Going to do Jam Thumbprint biscuits and more peanut butter fudge for the weekend.

I made a Chocolate Chip Sour Cream bundt cake for our new neighbors.  I hope they like it - I always get worried cooking for other people.

I was craving muffins so I made these carrot, apple & honey muffins. SO delicious! Very fluffy and not overly sweet, and the apple chunks are lovely. Craving scratched!

Yorkshire puddings! I've gotten so good at them now  ;D (Yes that's a brag). They were honestly something I have tried for 5 years to get right, with a VERY occasional success. These past few months, I found the best recipe and got it just right. Only problem was it made 8 puddings...and since chicklet doesn't care for them, it left hubby and I to eat them. I tried to freeze them, but they just didn't seem to reheat well. So first I halved it and made four...still too much...but now I've gotten to where I can cut it down to a quarter of the original recipe and make just two. They were so good today, that I wish I had made more...LOL  :P

Chicklet wanted frosted sugar cookies. Now, mind you, the only sugar cookies I've ever made have been the Pillsbury slice and bake! I was a bit scared, as I really don't consider myself skilled when it comes to baking. We found what looked to be a good recipe and I'm happy to say, that between the two of us, they came out pretty darn good. Now I wish they were all gone so I wouldn't be tempted to eat them!

I want to make (UK) flapjacks, but how do I make them with chocolate chips, so they don't melt?   ???

Currently in the oven:  dark chocolate with chocolate chip muffins (baked in a loaf pan, so technically it's now a cake).

I made this for the second time for DH for Fathers Day. It is really, super delish. Highly recommend. I think I might try making it with pecans instead of hazelnuts and hope for something turtle-y. Mmmm.
