4. Day 4 of little to no caffeine and I'm perking up a bit today.

It can be really tough.
I just hope that more people will ignore the fatalism of the argument that we are beyond repair. We are not beyond repair. We are never beyond repair. - AOC

1.  I have gone from  [smiley=mad.gif] to  [smiley=gorgeous.gif] ; finally got my hair done (had to wait until I got paid)!

2.  It's official, Dylan and Pips are friends--they both arrived at the back garden together this morning.  I could hear their bells jingling from a few houses up as they walked down towards our house.  [smiley=smitten.gif]

3.  I finally made my decision and let the other ladies know.  I'll be leaving the harps performance group.  I'm just not the kind of person who likes to have a few projects going at one time.  I need to focus on my repertoire at the moment, plus my fiddle lessons need me to focus as well (they are not cheap!) in order to justify the expense.  [smiley=guitarist.gif]

4.  We have a possible new volunteer who could be the answer to our prayers at work.  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

5.  I need to find more opportunities to perform (besides busking--that is on hold til the weather gets really good!).  [smiley=guitarist.gif]

Happy Friday!

1.) I've had several different musical performances this week. I am exhausted, but feeling quite musically fulfilled!!!!    My sister, laughed that I gigged even more as an engineer than she does, a professional musican.... Heheeh  ;D

2.) Going bowling and out to dinner with my work teammates today.  Good fun!  Could end up a bit wild....   [smiley=mad.gif]

3.) Getting an early train down to Edinburgh tomorrow though to bring my trombone down to the brass repair/servicing expert.  Strangely though when I phoned, he was like "Oh I recognise this accent!  Then started to chat away to me like he knew me" (eerily).  Looked him up on facebook, as you do, and we have 4 mutual friends (3 Scottish trombone players from up this way -3 hours from Edinburgh- and 1 trumpet player that I used to play with in University from the US.... small world......)  Anyways, I guess it will tweak in my mind tomorrow when I meet him that I actually know him.......

4.) My parents are here on Tuesday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5.) Too much work to finish before my hols..............  Better get on it!!
I've never gotten food on my underpants!

1] The caffeine fog has cleared! I woke up yesterday feeling great and today looks to be the same.  Now on to cleaning and clearing up this mess!

2] Weight watchers is going good. Looks like I might register a loss of 3 lbs tomorrow for my first weigh-in.

3] I have found an herbal tea that tastes exactly like Chai. Hello Chai Tea Latte, I can make you in my cappuccino maker ;)

4] I was right. Giving up coffee has significantly reduced my anxiety. Yay!

5] Finally got my little screamin demon three year old into my Naturopath Physician.  She's got a plan to help my darling girl feel better and hopefully not have 4-5 peepee accidents a day, or scream every time any little thing happens.  It's so nice to finally have some answers and a plan.

1. Finally succumbed to the ick going around work, early Tuesday morning, went through just over 48 hours of misery, then came out on top yesterday. I can't remember the last time I felt that bad, but it sure made me appreciate feeling good.

2. Two mystery packages have arrived recently, and hubby said another should be arriving tomorrow. My birthday isn't far off so I can only guess they hold fun surprises.

3. MIL arrives next month! Mid month, so it is still quite a bit off, but at least we can say 'next month'!  ;D The guest room is looking more like a guest room than a storage room because of that.

4. We have reached the end of what we can cope with from AT&T's net. We kinda 'snapped' last night and made the decision. Of the 9 months we have had it, we've had them out to work on it 4 times, resulting in 4 free months, and other calls resulting in $10 credits on 2 more bills. Next Wednesday we go with another company, who is offering a much better speed.

5. We may or may not be in spring now. We've had temps near 80, and we've had the furnace on a couple nights. Today was back to jacket weather.

1. Enjoying a very relaxing day off. All I have done today is one load of laundry, some dishes and the grocery shopping. Usually I spend days off cleaning house, but not today. It feels like when I was a kid and tried getting out of my chores. :D

2. It is my birthday, and hubby is taking me out tonight. Deciding where is the hard part, but I think I want Amish.

3. Two weeks until hubby's birthday and I have no idea what to get him. He swears he doesn't want anything, but that is no fun. So far I have one t-shirt, and am drawing a blank on what to get.

4. We're off for another walk tomorrow. We've already built back up to where 8 - 10 miles are easy again.

5. Off to enjoy a bubble bath in a few. May as well pamper myself a bit.

Saturday five. Oops.  ;D

1. We have three families of baby geese and a new family of baby ducks on the lake. The ducks made their first appearance this morning and are so tiny. All you can really do is look at them and say 'awwwwwwwwwww' because they are just so precious!

2. I worked today and hubby works tomorrow so it is a quiet weekend.

3. More birthday shopping for hubby tomorrow. I have gotten him 3 fun t-shirts but still need the 'wow' gift. Maybe a bottle of Scotch. A good one, of course.

4. We've had a damp, chilly few days in the mid to upper 50s this week. It has been odd for this late in the year. It is supposed to be warmer again starting tomorrow, but we've had to get the throws back out for when we are watching tv.

5. We're making plans to go to the Spirit of Vincennes Rendezvous next weekend. It is a Revolutionary War re-enactment with lots of food vendors and activities. We figure we can soak up some history and munch some tasty treats on hubby's Birthday Boxing Day.

1, Today is hubby's birthday. We made a road trip to Owensboro, KY, to our fave Indian restaurant (in the US). Mom went with us and we made a day of it, with shopping included.

2. We're having a quiet birthday night in, with beer and Iron Maiden and other metal Blu-ray concerts.

3. The Spirit of Vincennes Rendezvous is tomorrow and Sunday. We're thinking about going tomorrow. It just depends on the weather and if we decide to go. We were all set to go until it suddenly decided to be hot, after being so mild all spring.

4. Not too long now until MIL comes. We really need to finish up the guest bedroom. It is still more storage room than guest room.

5. Our new internet was supposed to be installed Wednesday, but has been postponed til next Wednesday. The countdown is on to lightning fast speeds! Woohoo!

2. Gorgeous weather today. Here's hoping it lasts all weekend!

3. Tomorrow is 'Big Truck Day' at a local museum. My son is going to go nuts.

4. Last weekend with the in laws visiting!

5. Moving forward with plans to redo our kitchen. Can't wait!

1.  Bank holiday weekend and it's cold and raining.  Monday so far is promising to be warm with some sun--fingers crossed as I'm walking in the Dales that day.  [smiley=daisy.gif]

2.  You know you're a crazy cat person when the neighbor's cat (not Dylan--a *different* neighbor and a different cat) wakes you up in the middle of the night because he is up on your dresser knocking things off of it (Dylan just sat on the bed and watched) and you don't even get angry.

3.  Been practicing for two upcoming gigs--the farmer's market is in two weeks and Kirkstall Abbey is in a month.  Loads of time, right?  [smiley=curtain.gif]

4.  Well it would be except.....I have accepted the temporary manager's position (again!) at my shop.  This time, however I will be getting paid the manager's rate.  It does mean I am going to have to super vigilant in budgeting my time to get my practicing in!  :-\\\\  Oh, and this time the position is going to last for about 6 months...

5.  Anyway, I can't complain at the moment as I've got a week's holiday before my work adventure begins.  I just wish the summer would return......! :P

Happy Friday!!

1.  Was invited to not one, but two interviews this week! Both permanent roles-- One at the place I've been contracting for the past 5 months, and the other where I worked as a contractor just before taking my current role.  Both taking place next week! Must prepare! (Though, finding it difficult to get into that mindset when I've already done both jobs and personally know all my interviewers...)

2. I've been really good about saving money this week-- by a) bringing leftovers to work for my lunch, b) not being tempted to just go out for dinner, and c) resisting the urge to buy my daily morning coffee in Waterloo station.

3. I'm still trying to break the habit of biting my nails.  I always just about get there, and then get into some situation that makes me nervous and I bite them all off again!  I've been really good about it this week! Therefore:

4. As a reward for 1,2, and 3-- I've booked myself a manicure on Sunday afternoon.  The price was discounted on Wahanda, and I used a voucher code on top of that! Bargain treat for myself! <3

5. The other half got free tickets to Wembley for the England v. Peru friendly tonight (pretty jealous), but, it also means chick flicks and a relaxing LUSH bubble bath tonight for me!

1. Less than 3 weeks til MIL arrives for a two week visit! We are getting excited and are making more and more plans for what we are doing and where we are taking her.

2. I am struggling to decide on curtains for the guest bedroom. Now that it is going to be a guest room instead of a storage room, it needs more than just blinds. I like several that I have seen but can't decide on one pair.

3. I've sort of started pre-packing for September already. Things I know I want to pack but won't wear before then are already getting set into one pile, which is steadily growing bigger.

4. Hubs is on an ice cream kick, which has been horrible for our diet, but thoroughly enjoyable.

5. My twin nieces are 21 today. Although my oldest niece is 22, something about the being 21 is making me feel the years today.
