1. My days off have been adjusted to where I have Friday off anyway. I hope it stays this way. I enjoy having one day off on my own to get the errands and housework done, and one day off with hubby to either go places or just slob around catching up on tv.

2. It is moving in weekend at the university, so traffic and town in general are a bit crazy. Even with things busier during the school year than summer, it is only insane on moving in weekend, a few parents' weekends, graduation and moving out weekend.

3. 32 days til we fly. I am so ready for this getaway, for so many reasons.

4. I did a bit more 'trip' shopping today, getting things we want to take with us.

5. Looks like a quiet, relaxing weekend ahead, other than me working tomorrow morning. Suits me.

1.  Currently closing a chapter of my life and preparing for the next.  My marriage is over and while I am very very sad, there is a rainbow behind the clouds.  [smiley=badlove.gif]  :\\\'(  (hopefully looking forward to the future smiley)

2.  I'll be going to live in Ireland for an indefinite time to heal and keep myself open to new opportunities.  I may return to the UK after that, but who knows what will happen between now and then.  [smiley=clover2.gif]

3.  Everything is amicable (though I am hurt, angry, and grieving--if that makes any sense) between us so it makes things a lot easier.  :-\\\\

4.  Off to a BBQ at Mrs.Robinson's after work today.  :)

5.  Am blown away by the support and friendship and love I've received in the past week from friends in Ireland, England, the gang at my work, my sister back in the US, etc.   [smiley=hug.gif]

Better late than never, especially since thing have been so eventful ;)

1. Car finally went boom, so we went and bought an new one.  Went with the Subaru Tribeca so we have space for the Dog and soon to be THREE Kiddos, but not announcing that I'm preggo to the general public yet, so can't explain WHY I need a 7 passenger car, lol.  Now contemplating bringing it with me to England. LOVE IT SO MUCH.

2. Second week of Kindergarten has finished and my Eldest claims to love it, but has come home with no less than three red frowny faces in her folder [in nine days of school] and is getting in trouble for being defiant and bossy.  I am at a loss for how to deal with this. I don't necessarily want to discourage those features of her personality...

3. Still pregnant and it's still brutal. So tired and nauseated all the time. Blah.

4. Dreading announcing this ^^^ to my family, which needs to happen soon, because less than a year ago SIDS claimed the life of my cousin's 4 month old little girl and everyone is still just raw and crushed.  I feel guilty, even though I know that's insane, because every time she hears someone is pregnant she gets really upset and kind of has another meltdown.

5. Also having Middle Class guilt because the same cousin's car went boom the same day as mine--it was the same year make and model, too--but instead of getting to buy a newer bigger car which better suits her family [she has 5 surviving kids], she's having to bum rides to take them to school and get groceries. If I lived closer I'd be her personal chauffer [sp?].

LOTS of really big hugs coming your way Andee. Allow yourself the anger, grief and pain as part of the healing process. Amicable helps, but you are allowed all the other emotions.

When you are ready, the future is there waiting for you.  [smiley=hug.gif]

2.)  Have to stay awake long enough to make a yeast starter tonight. Brewing some beer this weekend  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

3.)  Have a committee meeting first thing in the morning, so short lived break

4.) Mountain biking on Sunday. Training for a few races in September.

5.) Been LOVING all my veggies from the allotment this summer.Been a good growing summer.

Hope you have a good one!!

1) Got up the nerve to tell my boss about hubby's transfer/our move next year!  Gives me plenty of time to do some networking to hopefully secure a role/transfer to our London office.  I've decided I want to keep working full-time for a bit longer...

2) Headed to the beach tomorrow for a week long getaway - with hubby, 2 DD's, my mother and sister...and the weather is looking great!

3) Getting a pedicure in the morning...yay for pampering!

4) End of Summer fair at DD's daycare after work - love watching the kiddo's play on the bouncy castle

5) My cousin is staying with us tonight - I love her company - she's like a sister to me

Have a wonderful weekend all!
2001 - moved to the UK on a student visa
2002 - 2 year work visa (and met hubby later that year)
2004 - moved w UKC hubby to US
2012 - UKC hubby now a dual national (USC)
Apr 2015 - moved back to UK w DH and two DD

1.  Been bloomin' cold all week  ::)

2.  Doing  a lot of ancestor chasing but still can't much of anything on Nana.

3.  DS determined to buy his cousin's Audi.  Selling my old Ford 500 may be problematic.

4.  DH has booked into a hotel in Dublin for our anniversary!

5.  Found a black Next jacket in a charity shop -- may be useful for no. 4.

1. Had a very bittersweet visit with mom, dad, and my niece Shanna today. We had a lot of laughs, did a lot of talking, but also had some tears and lots of remembering. They brought a lot of my sister's clothes up for me to go through. It was hard going through them, but I have nearly doubled my wardrobe and it is comforting knowing her clothes are going to family and friends who loved her. It was a great day, but with some sadness.

2. Gave myself a pedi this morning. I'd love to go have one done, but I can't cope with anyone touching my feet because they are ticklish. My toes are a gorgeous magenta. Love the color.

3. Washed jackets today while doing laundry. Seems silly when it is 98f out, and we are under a heat advisory, but I am sure we will want them when we get to the UK in 4 weeks.

4. Dad also brought some jewelry that my sister made and let me choose some of it. I chose two necklaces and two bracelets. He is going to bring more up next visit.

5. Joey is molting. Lots. Everywhere. Besides all the big ones coming out, every time he shakes and fluffs up, it feels like we are in a snowglobe instead of a living room.

Definitely, but I suppose wearable memories are as good as mental memories.

1. Busy, busy day off, and I didn't get much of my to do list done.

2. Joey is still molting. I am surprised he isn't bald, with all the feathers we have vacuumed and thrown away. I will be glad when he is finished, because it is quite messy. Good thing we love him.  ;D

3. I've started packing the first few things for holiday. Yay!

4. It has been horridly hot and humid this week. Overall summer has been mild, but this week has been 3 degrees cooler than Hell itself. August in Indiana sucks.

5. Hot as it is, we have a concoction cooking in the crock pot at the moment of chicken, red, yellow and orange banana peppers, carrots and potatoes with Biryani spices to make a sort of curry stew. Taste tests have given hope it is going to be awesome.
