1. My sleep pattern has been all over the place for the last 2 weeks and I'm still catching up after going into shifts last week straight from my US trip
2. I'm at Heathrow airport for the second time in 7 days... in a couple of hours I'll be taking my 7th flight in the last 4 weeks
3. I'm moving to Gibraltar today (and am so not ready!)
4. It's about 24 degrees Celsius every day in Gibraltar right now :)
5. I really need to get exercising and lose some weight while I'm away. I put on about 8 lbs in Antarctica (and I was already 5 lbs heavier than I wanted to be) and have failed to lose any of it in the last 7 months :(.

My sleep pattern is always all over the place.  I'm naturally inclined to super late night (4am!), late mornings (11am).  My husband has a normal day job.  Mid-week, when he's in Salisbury, I get lazy and sleep when I want.  When he comes home, I "clean up my act".  This is why diabetes is in my future.

Gibraltar's weather sounds perfect this time of year (likely too hot in the summer, though).

Anyway, on with the countdown:

1.  It's Friday and my husband comes home tonight!

2.  I borrowed my husband's belt a few days ago for my rather-too-big flannel-lined jeans that I wear in the workshop.  It made things so much better... my jeans normally kept sliding off of me before, but the belt did the trick (as one might expect).  So then I bought a similar belt off eBay, and I hope to get it today or tomorrow.

3.  Tesco was out of iceberg lettuce.  This is a thing.  Rather than sending me a different variety of lettuce, they sent me a bag of pre-chopped "ready-to-eat" stuff in its place.  I declined.  Now I'm worried that our remaining lettuce from last week won't be enough for Mexican Platter on Saturday night and Sunday morning taco-salad-from-leftovers.  I regret eating two salads this week.

4.  I don't regret eating two salads this week.  I had some chicken that needed using, so I seasoned it and tossed it in the pan, then put it on my salad.  It was amazing.

5.  I think we are starting work on the reception desks for the care home this weekend.  It's hard to say for sure because my husband is communicating with the client through his somewhat erratic friend (the friend is not bad, just a bit inconsistent).  I'm more than a little anxious about cutting any materials until we know for certain that they are happy with the design and the price.

1.  The splinter is still in the kids foot.  It's right in the surface now thanks to PB's recommendation of paste but needs a bit of help.  When we are both home this weekend we're going to have to pin her down and get it out.  It's definitely okay and not infected but it's time to get it out!

2.  My favourite substitute I've had was leeks instead of onions.  I get where they were going but I didn't fancy leeks in my fajitas.  We're there really NO onions left in the store?   ;D

3.  Husband turns 40 in May.  Trying to book a holiday somewhere (with kids).

4.  Had a date night last night at the spa.  We both fell asleep.

5.  Going to try the baby with solid foods this weekend.  Ugh.  I like when they are on just milk.  I like when they are on just food.  This crap in the middle is not my thing.

Speaking of crap, this is the part where the diapers (nappies?) get extra fun.  *shudder*

Where are you looking to go on holiday?

My husband's 40th is a few days after our 5th wedding anniversary in June.  My 5 years toward ILR is the day after our anniversary, too.  Hopefully, we'll have done our in-person ILR application 3 or 4 weeks earlier, but even so there will be much to celebrate that week!  I may have to do more than personalized Jenga.   :-\\\\

Ugh, the nappies.  Vile.

I think we'll stay in Europe.  Husband would quite like to do a cruise.  I found one that leaves from Southampton going to the Norwegian fjiords over his birthday that I'm intrigued about.  He thinks it won't be warm.  But you know, sitting on the sun should not always be his goal.  But it is his birthday so need to make him happy!  I'm also trying to find an eastern med cruise.  But may do Croatia as a land option.  Who knows!  He'd like to go to Australia or New Zealand which I'm up for, but he thinks we should wait a few more years (I can't argue that.  Baby will be 13 months which is not a fun age for flying!

My sleep pattern has always been pretty odd because I work 2 days and 2 nights per week. Last week though I had just come back from the US and was jetlagged... according to my FitBit I was only getting an average of 3 hours and 41 minutes of sleep per night :(.

Yeah it was about 26 degrees when I arrived... and there's no air con in my room, just ceiling fans.

I'm at a bit of a loss for what to do this evening though - the boss dropped me off at the Officer's Mess, told me I was too late to sign up for dinner tonight and then was basically 'I guess you can walk into town for food. See you Monday morning.' Normally when I detach somewhere, I spend the first evening with the office team, meeting them and being shown around... but apparently I'm on my own for the next couple of days!

So I'm in a new place, that I don't know anything about, and I don't know anyone... plus I'm tired after getting up at 4:45 am and travelling for 11 hours. I know I should go out and explore but I kinda just want to sleep (I'm also bad at getting out and socialising in an unfamiliar place... I tend to hide in my room in situations like this).

That's a bit pants!

I've been wondering when you'd be off again.  You had been back too long!   ;D

Allow yourself to veg out tonight.  Hopefully you'll be more motivated tomorrow.   :)

And that's a long flight!  I wouldn't want to do it.

With the animated sack of potatoes being so young, ideas are tough.  Then again, as long as you're able to keep his routine reasonably consistent, he probably doesn't care where you go.

I know!  Do a build-your-own holiday... get landscape art supplies and travel to some picturesque locations and set up the family in front of easels and paint what you see!  (Okay, this won't work with your young kids, but I am totally going to do this one day!  Bob Ross Road Trip!)

If I was on my own for a couple of days in Gibraltar, I think I would spend it trying to find the 800-ish people who voted Leave and find out their rationale.  If ever I thought a place would be 100% remain, it's there.  I've been curious for the past 15-1/2 months.

We did a cruise when Alice was 11.5 months and it was great.  Which is why we are leaning hard in that direction.  We shall see what we come up with!

1.   Body Shop have got a Pumpkin Spice range out just now… body mist, body butter, shower gel, etc.  I’m thinking I might make a trip to Braehead to check this out at the weekend.
2.   Mr is away at Nottingham Beer Festival.
3.   My brain is full.  Need to delete some stuff before I can store anything more.
4.   Sugar doughnut & a coffee for my breakfast this morning
5.   Getting a new headlight lamp and wiper blades tomorrow.

1.  Tough night with the baby.  I had to call in the Calvary (husband).  He's lucky he's cute (the baby).   ;)

2.  I'm getting close to joining slimming world to lose the baby weight.  It's time!

3.  As a non-scale victory I was able to wear some pre-pregnancy trousers this week.

4.  Going out with friends tomorrow to a comedy club.  Really looking forward to it.

5.  Supposed to be glorious weather this weekend, I can't wait!

Oh and the splinter finally worked its way out after nearly two weeks of drawing out paste!

1. Tonight is Star Trek night, so the whole family sits on the couch, watches the new series and eats chocolate.
2. Tomorrow I am meeting a friend at Camber Sands for some kite buggying. It's going to be a sunny day with the wind perfectly on shore at 14 mph
3. Seafood for dinner tomorrow night, oysters, scallops and hot smoked salmon. With samphire.
4. Need to buy a dishwasher.
5. No plans on Sunday so it might be time for a family Road trip.
