I think it's Star Trek Discovery on Netflix.  I haven't checked it out yet.  I stopped watching them after TNG, for the most part.  I saw a few DS9, but when watching TV together stopped being a family event like Jimbo described, I kind of quit watching.

1.  My husband is home tonight!

2.  We're dreading ("anticipating"?) the amount of work we have to do this weekend to remain on schedule for completion of the reception desks we're building for the care home.  The weather doesn't look promising for a pleasant weekend in the workshop.

3.  Some software that I use for the workshop has been upgraded and I love the new features.

4.  Tesco accidentally gave me an extra avocado (three for two!) and I didn't realize it 'til after the driver had left.  Bonus!  (They also didn't have the smaller brisket in, so gave me a larger one for the price of the smaller one.)

5.  I got a flu jab on Wednesday, and my immune system is shaking it off.  My eyes are burny.  This better be worth it.  At least the muscle soreness has gone now.  I need my muscles this weekend!

I'm still giving it a chance.  It's pretty different than any other Star Trek.  There's even a learning disabled character.  Sort of like if Dory from finding Nemo was on the Enterprise as a human.

We tried. The writing it's so contrived and unrealistic. The makeup was done really well though.
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

1.  My husband took the day off of work today!  THIS IS UNHEARD OF PEOPLE!  I asked him to get up with the baby this morning and he is now asleep on the lounge floor.  I'm a tiny bit annoyed as I haven't slept in well over six months and this is his reaction to one night.   ::)

2.  Went to the dentist this week and found out the issue I hate about my teeth can be corrected with Invisalign.  I'm having a computer model demo in a few weeks to show my teeth before and after.  I might do it!

3.  I'm looking forward to the Pass the Parcel coming, I'm getting close!

4.  The baby is eating solids now and thinks is the most amazing thing ever.  He gets so excited that I'm worried he's going to fling himself out of his highchair.

5.  I had a meeting to go to on Tuesday and my daughter's nursery took the baby for a few hours so I could attend.  I WAS FREE for THREE whole hours!!!  It was awesome.  Shame I actually attended the meeting and didn't find my way to the spa!

Oooh... is dental/orthodontic stuff any cheaper here than in the US?  I had all kinds of prep work for braces when I was a kid, but just as my new orthodontist would finish laying the groundwork, my dad would get orders and we'd relocate before I could get to the braces stage.  So I'd have to get in with a new orthodontist who'd take a look at my mess, freak out and start a fresh game plan involving more years of prep.  Then I became a poor adult, and my mom was no longer responsible for me...  *headshake*  My alignment is a nightmare.  :(

How did you not make it more than 3 hours?  This was your first taste of freedom in however long.  You gotta take advantage of that!

1.  MUST try and get out of work by 16:00 latest, as I've got a Tesco delivery coming at 5, potentially.
2.  Said Tesco delivery will include 2 boxes of Marshmallow Mateys!
3.  No plans for the weekend, although I still haven't made it to the nearest Body Shop to check out the pumpkin spice smellies, so maybe I need to do that.
4.  Got my limited edition Ian McNabb memory stick which features his hot and dreamy gorgeous scouseness (yes, I have had a huge crush on him for many years!) reading his autobiography aloud... 9 and a half hours!  And the freaking thing will not play in my car!!!  [smiley=bigcry.gif] [smiley=bigcry.gif] [smiley=bigcry.gif]
5.  no time to go out for lunch, so I am eating a stale doughnut at my desk, washed down with cold McDonalds coffee.

1.  My husband is home tonight!  Weekend of joy!  (Well, weekend of work.  But he's home, so yay!)

2.  For two years, I have been promising my husband an Uuni outdoor pizza oven.  In fact, that promise has been his birthday present for the past two years (I gave him a lovely hand-painted IOU in a little wooden box last year, and some "sticks" ('exotic' hardwood turning blanks) this year, in addition to the promise), and we'd talked about getting an Uuni for a year before that.  Finally, after backing the newest model on Indiegogo, our Uuni Pro arrived on Tuesday!

3.  And then I found this excellent deal on Pyrex lidded storage bowls for proving pizza bases in, so I ordered 4 of them.  I also ordered fresh 00 flour and yeast.  We are go for pizza!  (Plus, we now own something with the word "oven" in it!)

4.  My sister's birthday was yesterday.  My obvious thought was to order something via Amazon to deliver to her, but I didn't really have any ideas.  But when I asked for her address last week (she moved house in April), she knew it was so I could send her a gift, and she asked me to make something for her, even if it's just a small thing, in my workshop.  She said she would prefer to have something that my husband and I made to something she could just buy from a shop.  I warned her it would necessarily be late, but I told her I would love to make something for her if she doesn't mind when it gets there.  So yay!

5. Beef Burgundy for dinner tonight.  It has all of my favourite things in it; particularly, tastiness.  (Pizza has to wait as the Uuni requires some assembly, and I didn't order wood pellets or other fuel for it.  Maybe Sunday.)

Is that memory drive like this except in the shape of Ian Mcnabb?

I am seriously jealous of that pizza oven.  Can you use it for bread?

People make naan/flatbreads in theirs.  And I've seen roasted veg, steaks, calzones, and all kinds of "dessert pizzas" made with it.

The Uuni heats to a very high temperature (up to 500C!) and cooks a pizza in 1 to 2 minutes.  But when the oven is cooling down, you can probably use the cooling temps to pop in a loaf for some fresh wood-fired bread.  I'll try it and let you know.  :)
