Yeah, we need visual aids!  And where is this overnight stay working farm?

1. I have two night shifts (tonight and tomorrow night) and then 5 days off :).

2. I'm heading down to my parents' in Bristol on Sunday and I'm hoping to finally buy a new car next week (was going to buy one a year ago, but ended up having to use the money for other things) :).

3. At the beginning of last week I decided to actually commit to losing the weight I put on in Antarctica last year. So, I've been heading to the gym when I can and eating healthily and so far I'm about 3 lbs down :). I'm off to Italy in 5.5 weeks and I'm aiming for about another 8 lbs or so by then (fingers crossed).

4. My B&Q bedside table delivery fiasco is finally sorted, though it took a while! I needed 1 new drawer plus 2 new handles and screws, but the store had suggested it would be easier for them to just collect the faulty one and deliver a replacement. So, on Tuesday the delivery people called me and we arranged delivery for Friday (today). However, when I got home from work on Wednesday, I found they'd delivered a new drawer and no handles or screws :(. So, I called them again and they said there was no record of a replacement unit being sent and just a note that said something about a Friday delivery. Since I now had a replacement drawer, all I needed was the handles and screws for the other drawers, so they called me back yesterday to say they would be delivered today or tomorrow. Got home from the gym this morning to find they had arrived... but they'd sent me the wrong handles (which don't fit the drawers)! Luckily, I was able to use the new screws to get the original handles screwed on, so I finally have a complete, working bedside table :).

5. My boss has finally issued the May roster and it turns out I have the last weekend in May off, which I had been hoping for but didn't want to ask for because I'm already on leave for all the other May weekends :P.

ooooooooooooo! The mixer arrived! Fire-engine red, and works a treat! It takes longer to mix than my old one with two beaters, but I think I can work with this planetary mixing thing. Made a banana cake, and it came out really well with almost no work on my part. Yea!  ;D ;D ;D

Nan, we are staying at The Green Farm in Crowle just outside Worcester.  My husband found it on https://www.farmstay.co.uk  It’s been fun.  My daughter is excited to help with the animals again in the morning.   :)

Hey, guys!  Remember me?  ;)

Phew!  That was an awesome week of nothing productive!  Yay!  So, now I will do my "Friday" Five a few days late, because things.

1.  My husband was already home on Friday, because he ended his old job a week prior and hadn't started his new job yet.  Yay us!

2.  He started his new job today.  He left around 7am, and I expect he'll be home by 6.  That's less than 12 hours!  So much better than 4 days.  I promise this is the last time I'll go on about this.  But you guys know how the last 16 months have been... I'm so stupidly happy now!

3.  My in-laws came to visit on Wednesday.  We fed them pizza.  Then we fed them chocolate puddings that made my FIL get his phone out to take a picture.  Later, we made ravioli for them (tasty, though the quantity was hardly enough to constitute a meal).

4.  My MIL loves to garden (I hate to do the work part of it and, besides, the weather has only recently stopped being so wet), so she spent most of the afternoon out in my back garden trimming back branches and pulling weeds.  I didn't mind, as long as she was happy.  I felt guilty because I was glad for the work to be done, and she seemed to feel guilty, too, because she was "taking away my fun".  It was an awkward social situation, because I couldn't tell if she was genuinely happy to do the work... I wouldn't have been!  But if she was truly happy, then I'm thrilled.

5.  I'm going to try to book my in-person appointment tonight at midnight for May 8th.  I've got the moneys in my current account ready to go.  And my savings plan worked, so I'll still have moneys left over to pay my annual water rates next week and my council tax up front for the year.  I didn't have to dip into my ISA at all.  I'm relieved.  Citizenship can probably happen as soon as June, too.

---

4.) Please, please, please, please, please, please don't feel like anyone needs to donate, but a few folks have asked about fundraising for the brass band. So here is our GoFundMe link.  https://www.gofundme.com/highlandbrass

Thanks for sharing this, PB.  :)

It feels like Friday for me so I'm going to go ahead and do my duty

In my office, every occasion is celebrated with a sad looking spread from M&S

I'm going to take advice from HMS Seahorse and just ghost everyone at the end of the day.

We are leaving tomorrow at 4:30!!! For the giant National Lampoon style Road trip

1.  It is apparent we are all off having fun today since I’m the first to do Friday Five at 7:30pm!

2.  Yippee, 4 days off work.

3.  The rain can go *bleep* itself.

4.  The three year old becomes a four year old on Easter Sunday (April Fools Baby)!

5.  In laws are coming over Sunday for the birthday.  No roast lamb here, we are having a taco bar!

Trying to be more positive so joining in here :)

1. I told my boss it was a holiday here so I have Monday off. I don't get paid, but it'll be nice to have a long weekend!

2. New mattress is a godsend. Sound sleep for the first time in a month.

3. Our TV arrived yesterday.

4. This means my husband will now be putting his computer in his office. No more watching him watch YouTube in the living room.

5. Going into town tomorrow and hoping for GF cupcakes at the Coffee Barker.
