1.  It's been wellness week at work.  All sorts of shenanigans.  Luckily today is tea and cake day and "pledges" to what we want to change in our life.   ::)  Yesterday was boot camp day.  That was fun (sarcasm).

2.  We got my daughter's schedule for when she starts Reception in September in the post yesterday.  Staggered, random days for two freaking weeks.  What the hell are people supposed to do when they don't have family and, you know, HAVE JOBS?!?  This is going to be fun to figure out.  It'll work out but it's a bit bonkers.

3.  Tomorrow is my husband and I's first "date" in FIVE months.  Unfortunately, I'm not wowed by it.  We are going into London to Royal Albert Hall - sounds awesome doesn't it.  BUT TO WATCH A SYMPHONY.  I mean - COME ON.  Watching people play instruments?  I LOVE music.  But I want to dance to it or chat with friends while stuff is playing.  Not just sit silently.   ::)  Best part - my husband inadvertently booked seats that are marked "restricted leg room."  He's 6'6" and his legs basically start at his ear lobes...

4.  The weather forecast has suddenly changed, so I should be able to get my gate painted this weekend!  It's an oil based paint so I need a good weather forecast for 48 hours.  Looked impossible yesterday - now it looks possible!

5.  Is it 5 o'clock yet?  Actually, modifying this one.  I've been contacted by a dance school about teaching.  I don't know if it'll work out, but it's pretty damn exciting!!

Ooh Friday again! I enjoy the symphony but it depends on what music they're playing (lifetime band geek). But I hope by making a night of it in London you have a nice time. :)

1. I start my new job July 2nd. I only lost £10k in annual salary and went up a job title so everything considered that's really positive, and they have a bonus structure so it might end up less. I managed to get one interview in 6 months of trying, and the job from that! *phew*

2. I gave my notice at my current job and now they are scrambling to find another me... But they don't realise how few people like me exist! And none of my network are currently job hunting but I could get a big referral bonus so I kinda wish they were!

3. Medical stuff is steadily getting better. I still have a long list to get through but the big things are being dealt with, and they did give a pain management referral so I'm hopeful I'll get my meds back. Another *phew*

4. A friend is having a private birthday dance party in Milton Keynes, so I'm looking forward to having a lil trip in a few weeks.

5. I need to provide my education certificate for finishing a diploma course at a community college in the states for the employment verification. I've been through every single document I brought with me and apparently missed that :( I don't know how. So now I have to see if the college can send me a scan when they open.

...RAH seating is tight at the best of times....I need to hear how the restricted leg room works out for him! hahaha You just need to go out for a killer dinner beforehand to make up for it! :p

I don't even know if I have a lot to say today

1. I'm ready for today to be done. I'm knackered. Work is just insane at the moment and I should be getting paid way more to do what I'm doing...but I DID get my bonus letter the other day. it's not as good as other people's because I've only been in the company 6 months but it's fairly decent and I got a slight pay rise so could have been way worse :)

2. I've made myself a bomb-ass spicy chicken sandwich for lunch. I'm trying to wait until 12 to eat it but it's proving difficult...

3. I pulled Brazil from our office's world cup sweepstakes!! That is guaranteed to get me 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place right!? I don't know much about football, but I know Brazil is pretty good and the goalie (from what I saw yesterday) is fairly attractive so that's a good omen, right?

4. Husband is out allllll day tomorrow fixing the rental flat back up before new tenants move in as our old tenants, we believe, flooded the bathroom but didn't tell us (and we can't prove it) so there is some water damage to the bathroom suite in there currently. We are gutted because we were really proud of our bathroom remodel that we only did 2.5-ish years ago that already has to be gutted do to damage from water and their harsh use as they have broken the cabinet door, etc. (don't worry, we're not going to try to take it from their security deposit ;) )The positive in this is that it means I can watch the 3rd episode (at least) of The Handmaid's Tale so I'll be up to date in the UK at a minimum...the bad news is that I will be expected to clean our whole house because husband won't be home to help as he'll be working hard :)

5. My parent's will be here next weekend! Plastering will be done monday and tuesday so we will jusssssttt be getting the bathroom finished off ahead of their arrival and it gives us enough time to throw some paint on the walls! Will need to get some new pillows and stuff for their visit so will probably sort out this stuff this weekend :)

Yeah, we'll do something afterwards if I haven't lost the will to live.

Though maybe I'll have had an amazing nap?   ;D

Not sure I can remember the last celebrity death that I could actually say I was gutted about. Not that I don't care about the lives of others - I don't mean it like that! I just mean that this one I'm genuinely gutted to hear about on a personal level as opposed to just feeling bad for them/the family.

It's a symphony, at the Royal Albert Hall! The atmosphere should be fantastic, I bet you enjoy it... keep an open mind anyway.  :)  You don't have to do it again.

His Ukrainian friend, I think named Zayvir, ended up settling in Buffalo after they did an episode there and he fell in love with the city. He brought so much joy and energy to talking about food culture. His parts unknown series is so good!

Don't get me wrong, I'm DYING to go see something at Royal Albert Hall.  But I really wanted to see a ballet in the round.  And I will (someday).

Actually, I suspect I'll enjoy tomorrow quite a bit.  :)

I can't believe Anthony Bourdain! Two celebrity suicides in one week.  So sad.  I felt very sad about Kate spade.  Such a strong business woman who was able to crack into an EXTREMELY tough industry.  So yeah, that one bummed me out.

1.  Not working this weekend!  So happy!  I probably *should* work, to make life easier next week, but I'm not gonna!

2.  Tried the cucumber Sprite yesterday.... loved it!  I drank it from a metal pint pot, filled to the top with ice cubes, and it was just so cold and wonderful on such a hot, yukky day!

3.  My pal is in San Francisco just now and texted me for a restaurant recommendation... I told him about Brandy Ho's and he went there last night and LOVED iT!!  so glad... he'd never let me live it down if it had been a disaster!

4.   Going to start watching The Handmaid's Tale tomorrow.

5.  Got a great earworm -- anyone remember The Boy Who Murdered Love from around 6 or 7 years ago?  I know... it's not the kind of thing you would expect me to like, but I really did like the song!
