It's almost time... preparations have begun!

If you ever want a present for your hubby, you could get him a proper tamper for that  coffee machine.  Careful though, I'm not sure that portafilter is a standard size.
I bet you could order the metal bit in the right size, then make the wooden bit yourself in your magic wood shop.

I'm posting this here because it all happened on a Friday

Here's Chez Jimbocz for the next few days

We normally stay in the giant family house in the next town over but that's full of French people for  now.  I've always wanted to camp at this beach.

When we showed up last night, there was a Moule Frite festival going on, with draft beer

If we have bad coffee, we'll look into it.  For now, he's been applying the right amount of pressure with the plastic one that came with the machine... it's been amazing.

Did I mention I used to hate coffee because I found drinking it didn't live up to the promise of the aroma?  It turns out, I was being given weak shiz.  Then my husband started making coffee for me, and I approve.

That hammock was missing in the first pic, too!  Looks like a nice little getaway.

I really wish you were my wife!

Same.

Jimbo, that actually looks like it could be a lot of fun staying out there! I'm going camping next weekend and can't wait for it (but hope we don't roast in our tents lol)

Well spotted, that's my daughter's hammock and she is pleased as punch to finally use it.

She is not, however, pleased that there is no wifi and no signal.  She would be calling child line and reporting us for child abuse if she had a signal.

Have fun camping!  We've gone tentless for the last few years and only stay in the little huts that most places have.  Tents are a major PITA.

Don't forget the stuff for Smores.

I'm knackered and sunburnt all to heck today.  I must have given kite lessons to 10 French relatives yesterday.

Thanks! I need you to wish me luck as it's a trial run of taking the pooch camping for the first time and hoping she doesn't make it the most difficult thing in the entire world.

Funnily enough I just bought some marshmallows and have been saving the graham crackers my mom brought me last month specifically for camping smores!

hahah did they really not know how to fly a kite??!
