You had me at fondue.  Raclette is highly recommended, too.  Definitely have that.

Oh yes!

One night in Como on Lake Como
7 nights at a villa with a pool on Lake Maggiore in Switzerland
One night in Bellagio on the other side of Lake Como
2 nights in Milan

I'm sorry.  :(   Stick to your guns next time and feel good about it.  :)

Girl, I've stuck to my guns.  But my husband has vetoed me.  But we had a good talk about it last weekend so I'm not AS angry about the whole thing as I was.  He also told me that he told his brother how disappointed he is that no one bothered with his birthday.  I'm really proud of him for saying something.

I think this just shows what a good man my husband is.  He's WAY better than me.  I'm a spiteful b*tch.  LOL.

It gets better!

SIL just uploaded a video of niece singing Happy Birthday to Grandma.  And her other grandma in the background said "Happy birthday for today, I hope hubby, and two sons spoil you rotten."

Her birthday is tomorrow.  GOLD!

It's the little things that the devil on my shoulder loves.  Yes, I am full redheaded b*tch mode today.

I have had days.... I know this feeling.  And I actually relish it when it comes over me.  I enjoy feeling vindictive!  :P  Just try not to indulge too much.  ;)

And I'm DYING to reply to the video with "I wish you were coming to your Welcome Home party tomorrow."  But while I'm a spiteful b*tch, I know where the lines are!

How did you break your ankle?  Sounds like you were having too much fun!

I bet you were doing bong hits on top of a human pyramid of gay sorority girls and submariners when it all collapsed into a pool of baby oil

Jimbo....when are we going to meet up and get a beer? Your responses are always too on point that I need to meet the enigma that is you hahha

3. In laws are visiting this weekend. Normally I get a little bit sick when seeing them, but I'm so wore down and expected to drive them around I'm a bit nervous. But it will be nice to see them, they love my kitty and miss her since she spent a couple months with them when we moved and had to find a kitty accepting rental. I have no idea what to do with them though. We don't have seating for 4 here and I'm not sure I'm up for a restaurant, so I may just send my husband out with them.

Oh no...are you able to do light duties like just walking down to the park nearby to you and doing things within a closer radius so you don't have to stress too much about moving them around? (typing as I read through all the newest responses and it looks like KF already suggested South Hill Park lol)

KF - glad your little one is back at nursery today and doing better! Fingers crossed on the viewings for your rental! I can't even comment on your SIL as that just makes me so irritated on your behalf so I'm not even going to open my mouth... I think you should turn it into a bday for Malc as well as a "bon voyage" party for the cousin. Your trip sounds luuuuussshhhh

If you're a spiteful b*tch then I'm right there with you LOL I would also be livid...but well done to him for expressing his disappointment to his brother!!! That's a big step for a Brit LOL. My husband is always letting his sister get away with sh*t that he really should be calling her out on but he just lets it slide because she gets enough of it from their two older siblings so he feels he has to defend her even when she's dead wrong and will totally avoid the conflict.

And I'm DYING to reply to the video with "I wish you were coming to your Welcome Home party tomorrow."  But while I'm a spiteful b*tch, I know where the lines are!

OMG I would find it hard to resist saying "We'll be missing you tomorrow at your welcome home party!" hahaha

1. We're heading out for camping this weekend at 4pm (ish) today. It's been on and off drizzle...never camped in the rain before so this will be an interesting experience for sure...lol

2. was supposed to cover two people at work next week as had agreed to cover them both at different times and only one of them put a reminder in the diary about it so I forgot about the other one I agreed to months ago lol. Was panicking for a bit but found out yesterday that our Project lead has asked somebody else to cover one of them as he doesn't want me overloaded with my stuff AND two other peoples. I would be lying if I said I wasn't relieved...

3. Bit irritated because we had a case open with TDS (tenant deposit scheme) due to some issues with our flat when the tenants moved out and we did final inspections. We use an estate agent to do minimal management and so the emails for the case were being sent through them. We hadn't been told a case had been raised  yet and then next thing we knew it was shut due to no confirmation.....because the estate agents never spoke to us about it. They were receiving emails from the TDS people and not feeding it back to us...They literally were doing nothing. So the case was shut down due to no replies....We're now trying to get this sorted out but it's extra stress due to the mismanagement by the estate agent. Makes us question why we are paying them for the few things we do pay them for....They're trying to cover themselves by saying "oh, see this email we sent!" but the email has nothing to do with opening/closing of cases or updates or additional requests for information...they are just looking to show any comms they've had with us even if it's not relevant. Just frustrating to say the lease and it's definitely stressing my husband and his brothers out big time as they're more involved.

4. Found out by mistake that I've won a "star award" at work for displaying all positive business attitudes and for work I've put in on certain projects and tasks outside of projects. That was cool and it comes with a small cash award. My line manager was meant to tell me at my 1-2-1 but she forgot and I happened to see it over the Facebook Workplace with my name tagged and said to her errm....what's this? LOL

5. Viewed a house Wednesday at lunch that looked great in the photos and seemed good in the floorplan, even taking into account the "wide angle lens" tricks they try to pull....turned out not to be as great as we had built it up in our minds to be. Wasn't awful but we aren't really interested in it given how much we would need to fix/do for the price it's listed at and it's location.I don't regret seeing it though because it meant I didn't have to worry about thinking "if only we had seen thaaaaaat house! it was perfect!" as I now know it was far from perfect.

I have to pick them up in Reading, so I am trying to think of safe things near there to do, but I don't know anything in Reading. My lungs are buggered so physical activity is also a big challenge :( I did not need a smelly consultant this morning! (now my chart has a big notice on it!)

Reading centre is just a lot of walking, shops/pubs, and pollution unfortunately :(

If you can manage being outside, I would say try to picnic in Forbury or something? Or if driving outside of Reading but staying close enough by is possible, there may be more outdoor type things you can do that might not involve too much walking. Sorry that's not the most helpful :(

If feeling more energetic, you could do a walk along the Thames toe path from Reading.

This is my first Friday Five post! KFDancer suggested that I contribute to the thread! :D

5 things about my Friday:
1. Still freaking out that I got my e-mail
2. I work on an island, and Friday's are "Go off the island for lunch day" so I am super looking forward to the Greek food that will be in my tummy for lunch!!
3. Me and my boss discovered that the coffee maker's the culprit for the office's bad coffee, and it is not our fault!
4. I have dinner plans tonight with a friend of mine who wanted to take me out before I move. It's a fancy restaurant, and I am a massive fan of fancy!
5. My office is at 75F and I have a jacket on. How will I ever make it in the UK?!

As to #5 - you'll acclimate. One year through the seasons and you'll think 75F is a heatwave. ;)
