It was on floor three. Floor one had a cafe. The Daughter went with me and waited in the cafe. I hit the doors upstairs at exactly 1:00. My appointment was 1:15 and they said to arrive 15 minutes early.

I passed. :)

Fantastic! Congratulations, Nan!  ;D [smiley=balloon.gif] [smiley=balloon.gif] [smiley=balloon.gif]

Thanks! They didn't ask anything about stopping distance, alcohol, or penalties for breaking the rules.

I did surprizingly well on the hazzard test.

And now, on to the driving lessons. Because once I get my license I can book a flight home to visit. ;D

The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

Yay for Nan!

My first Friday Five

1) seriously? It’s FRIDAY!!!
2) Had a good smooth day....until the end
3) sitting with a drink and trying to relax, George in my lap
4) Not sure if this qualifies as positive or negative, both I
think......End of my day at work I physically kept a young
Girl from jumping from the multi storey car park. Held
     her until the police came.
5) Did I mention I have a drink 🥃 and the weekend off?!

You go, Nan! Congratulations!!

1. Blizzard party tomorrow!

2. I have my very first driving lesson, ever, here or in the US, on Monday. I am absolutely bricking it.

3. Got to meet Jason Paige, the voice of my childhood, on Monday! Still absolutely buzzing about it.

4. Boss was out of the office most of today, so everyone was in a super great mood... until she got back. She saw fit to publicly chastise me in the office for something that - as it turns out - I was right about and she wasn't, so from about 3:30 onward I was just so over work. Feel much better after discussing it with boss's boss and having a bit of a rant to Dave in the car. I could fill all five of my FF's with this story, but let's just leave it at that.

5. The tequila is calling my name this evening. Have to try and get some tidying up around the house first, though, as we have a flooring guy coming 'round first thing tomorrow morning (what was I thinking?!) to measure up - we're looking into getting rid of a lot of our carpet.

What?  You are a hero!
She will eventually be thankful and so will her family.  You deserve that beer.
