Friday Five!

What a fabulous cabbie Nan!

Yeah. Seriously, people in Glasgow are soooo nice! I have never lived anywhere where I've felt as if I'm as welcome as I do here. They like look out for us. There was a time when the Daughter was here by herself, a couple of years ago, and was feeling faint over in Waitrose. They made her sit down and got her juice, and insisted on getting ~and paying for~ a cab to get her back to the student halls.

Very decent people, Glaswegians.

1. Finished up at work today for a week off before Christmas! Got lots of plans- Hope at least some of them come to fruition.
2.  Tomorrow is our 10th anniversary- I was excited that we are going Topolabamba for lunch, but if it snows tomorrow,  it could spoil our plans because we might struggle to get home... Scotrail have a tendency to cancel trains to our bit for the lamest of reasons.
3. Secret Santa at work was a success- I got a scarf with greyhounds printed on it!
4. New telly being delivered next week - our Christmas present to each other! It's been great not having to shop this year.
5. Can't be bothered to eat tonight, but a cup of tea with a big slug of brandy is hitting the spot.

Okay, so I missed the Friday Five this week, but I wanted to post an update on my dress saga... I picked up the altered dress on Thursday, and now I'm just waiting for the refund of 2 of the dresses and the alterations cost to go back into my account . Had a lovely time at the Christmas Draw on Friday night - I'd just worked 2 night shifts before it, so wasn't sure how late I'd be able to stay up, but I made it right to the end and didn't get home until 3 am .
