Happy Friday - ;D
heyjay, I hope your expensive bin is everything you hope for!  Albatross, I hear you on the job front.  KFDancer, lots to celebrate in 2019 sounds great!!!

1.) 2 days of work this year and I'm already over it.  At least it was a short week  :-\\\\  [smiley=behead.gif]

2.) Hubster and I are going out for a posh meal tomorrow night. He got a voucher a few months ago from his boss to celebrate 20 years in the business to a really nice restaurant, so we thought we'd wait until after the Christmas rush to go and bring some excitement to January  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

3.)  My gym has had slow attendance the last several weeks, meaning we've been able to use all equipment, squat racks, etc with ease and not having to wait. The gym has now been shut this week and opens back up tonight. I anticipate it will be heaving and we won't be able to move.      [smiley=dizzy2.gif]

4.) Starting to pull together seed orders and figure out what I want to plant this year. With Brexit looming, I want to grow as much as my own food as I can!  [smiley=end.gif]

5.) Think it's time to start doing some decluttering and clearing out/reorganising kitchen cabinets. They're getting a bit ridiculous.    [smiley=help.gif]

This describes my ENTIRE HOUSE.  UGH.  I just want to tip every drawer in the bin and start over.

Friday!  It's Friday again!

1.  My husband has had a lot of time off over the last couple of weeks, but not consecutively.  My days are so mixed up.

2.  Now that the excitement is over, we resume normal 5-day work weeks from Monday.  That will be hard getting used to again.

3.  My neighbour came by yesterday for the first time in weeks!  When she didn't leave us a Christmas card (she's a card crafter!!!), I worried they weren't okay, but they live up a hill so I couldn't check on them without the car.  But she's just been busy.  We had a nice long visit and all's well.  :)

4.  We spent New Year's Eve day doing a deep clean... I cleared out under the sink and behind the spice jars in utili-kitchen, and it's so much nicer in there now.

5.  My husband is off, and I'm making potatoes, eggs and toast for breakfast.  The end!

Phatbeetle, you just reminded me that the news years resolution people are going to be around and pissing me off.  I brought all my stuff to go swimming in the open air pool after work like I do all the time, not because it’s New Year. I’m sure the pool will be filled with people in my way.

I’m still angry as well that I didn’t buy an ejector seat when I had the chance.

The good news is that today we are going to Fake Nando’s for lunch.  5 wings and a smoothie

What's Fake Nandos?
This reminds me that I had a Real Nando's the other day for the first time in at least 5-6 years.... OMG, it was so lush!  Now I'm craving it again, but at the moment, can't justify £8 for a chicken sandwich on it's own with no sides or anything.

Just show everyone the net in your swimsuit and they'll run screaming and never return.   ;D ;D ;D ;D

Fake Nando’s is the generic peri peri chicken shop, it’s a lot cheaper than Nando’s and has mango smoothies.
I feel your pain about expensive Nando’s.

Only the lucky ones get to see me perform without a net.

The funny part of that story is your wife appearing as you tried to explain the net.

"Oh hi hun! I was showing this kind young lady the net in my shorts!"

I'm a bit over Nando's.  The burger keeps getting more and more expensive.  And it's seriously like a chicken tender size anymore.  I don't mind paying if I don't need a magnifying glass to find said chicken.  But it's just comical!  It's a great place for people with allergies though, so my husband is happy as a lark there.

My Friday Five

1) F-u to my GP surgery. I hate you with all the fury of 1000 devil dogs.

2. We have a new Japanese restaurant in my town. Took Stuart there for dinner tonight and believe it or not, a restaurant in Scotland has the best legit sushi I've ever had.

3. Today is my last weekend working in the photo lab. I finally move to the pharmacy full time on Monday. It's been a long transition but I've finally found a suitable replacement for me in the lab. She is amazing, just like me.

4. I have a new work best friend. See #3. I love her. She's like me, only Scottish.

5. See photo.

I had my first ever Nando's late last year after living in the UK all this time, and I just really didn't get what the fuss was about. Hubby was the same, we both left going that was expensive for what you get.   ???

When I first came over the chicken on the burger was a lot bigger, I think they're cutting costs a bit. the best Nando's I've had was on London!  Bust location, with a great staff. But our local ones are pretty crap, both in Burton and in intu Derby.

The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.
