I saw your post on WGG and Imogen who was responding to you is part of our local meetup group!  Just in case that's the one helping you.  :)
Not her, but she was on the money for what I need to do long term with new skills. There's a woman who runs a business helping mums get back to work, who was also on point when I chatted so I am hoping she'll be able to help me tailor my CV and rebuild confidence.

From your link:  "A full package which includes hair, makeup and nail designs will cost an adult $120 (£93)."

Okay, that is reasonable for a bit of fun.  I'm in, after all.  Plus, it's at the spa at the Grand Floridian, which was my dream hotel as a kid.

I mean, I can't say if that's what the price actually is LOL It might be more. I think that's more expensive than the kids  but I'd totally pay it! lol it's reasonable by Disney standards IMO!

Margo - That coding thing sounds really cool. Hope the meeting about the CV goes well. Could you ask her friend if there's any way she could help you find tickets as you really want to go?

My, how time flies....

Sadly I don't think there is, it's a limited run. I'm going to try and at least see her while she's in London. :)

$70 for the kiddo without a costume.  She's going to pick out a costume before  we go and wear that.  :)  My mom sent me a few dresses she found.  <shudder>  I told her we want the kid to pick her own dress.  LOL.  Managed my way out of that one!  Whew!

Nan, I brought canning lids back from the US in December,  because they're way cheaper, proper Ball ones and not crap Kilner ones.

Ah, I was just getting around to asking if you wanted me to bring you some. And yeah, they work better and are WAY cheaper.

I don't think it's Brexit.  I think it's Tesco.  Shopping with them has been a craps shoot for me from the start.

No, right now it's not Brexit. Right now it is some idiot who pulled my groceries order at Tesco. (sigh)  I've placed another order, for a LOT of chicken. As of like 5 packs of 1.5 kilos. Because I'm going to fire that canner up bigtime. Made a note that substitutions were fine as long as it was chickenbreast. Didn't care about the brand, or if it was pre-cut. Just send the darned chicken!

Brexit shortages will come later. So I would assume that as supplies of things like olive oil and spanish onions run low, there will be times when I order that kind of thing that I don't get it.

It’s a full hour.  And I think they even weave in extensions for kids like mine if needed.  Lol!

Total non sequitur:  The Daughter just heard she's admitted to her PhD program.  ;D Still waiting to hear about funding - if they're going to give her any. If it's not funded, she can't go. She's asked for a fees waiver,  which would be the minimum she'd need to have happen. We shall see....

Oooh congratulations to her. Hopefully the funding will come through!  :)

4.  We're nearly three weeks into the new year, and we have yet to finish a backgammon match.  We've played a lot of games and have swapped the lead back and forth multiple times, but we're currently practically tied at 34 (me) to 35 (my husband).  It's anybody's tournament!  (My husband totally destroyed me in 2018, and that outcome was evident from the very start.)

5.  It's Friday!  My husband gets off work at 6pm, he'll spend about 35 minutes driving home, then it's cheese nibblies and port, followed by Bailey's coffee and backgammon!   Weeeeeeekennnnnddd!

The first match has concluded, and I emerge victorious!  Great start to the new year!

In other news, cheese nibblies, port, and Bailey's coffee were all awesome!
9/1/2013 - "fiancée" (marriage) visa issued
4/6/2013 - married (certificate issued same-day)
5/6/2013 - FLR(M)#1 in person -- approved!
8/1/2016 - FLR(M)#2 by post -- approved!
8/5/2018 - ILR in person -- approved!
22/11/2018 - Citizenship (online, with NDRS+JCAP) -- approved!
14/12/2018 - I became a British citizen.  :)
