PB, I'm with you on that hayfever thing.  I had stopped using my allergy medicine, but gave up and took one today. I'll just keep that up for a while and try to stop this wheezing and sneezing that I've been enduring for the past few weeks.  Enough, already!

Good luck with the job prospect and with the builders, KF!

My five:

1.  I'm not saying every day is the same, but I do pretty much only keep track enough to know if ingredients need to be used up soon.

2.  We're running dangerously low on potatoes because I failed when assessing our needs for the last grocery order.  We've been going 7-10 days between orders, and we just got food on Tuesday, so it's going to be a while before we get food again.  We have about 1 meal's worth of rice, 1 meal of dry pasta, and three meals of potatoes.  The shop didn't have the tortillas we like, so that's out, too.  But I do have the ingredients... maybe I can finally master making them.

3.  I managed to get a bit of pink in my face from sitting in the sun yesterday.  Guess I'm up on my vitamin D, now.  :)

4.  My husband asked how much money I have (I'm responsible for our savings).  I told him.  He's now looking into a roofer to fix replace the stable roof so it stops leaking into the workshop.  Yay!

5.  My Blue Badge expires 1 June, and I went through hoops to get the proof of ID, photo, and proof of address ready to apply to renew online, only to find out at the end that they're not processing the applications (or they're really slow, or something), so mine remains valid until they say otherwise and I should carry on using it after June first.  I felt a bit annoyed because of the difficulties I faced getting my application in when I needn't have bothered.  But it's in now.  So that's good.

The information I received today indicated that expired blue badges would not be enforced until maybe September in England and maybe later in Scotland.  ;D

Actually, Highland Council isn’t enforcing parking at all and hasn’t since just before lockdown. Instead, Parking Enforcement is helping in their communities.

I know, you guys are heros just without the capes. Keep up the good work!

Random question:  Remember the awesome rose you took a shoot from?  Did it take?

I tried on two separate occasions to get cuttings to take, 2 even had new leaves growing then suddenly died! Whoever said starting rose cuttings was easy.......LIED!!!!!!!!
I have considered, once lockdown is over,  going to the house where it is and offering to buy the entire rose bush! Then anyone who wants to try a cutting.....be my guest. Has anyone ever seen a similar rose for sale?

I don’t remember exactly what it looked like, just that it was red and white and beautiful.  Was hoping it worked and I could get a piece.  ;D

It would help to see the pic again but I found two red and white Hybrid Tea roses, which I think that one was iirc.

Double Delight and Nostalgia.

We have this bush in our garden and they are gorgeous.  Just red but HUGE, like you say 4 inches or so across.  I'll take a ruler out in a bit and take a photo.

My BIL sent us the Microsoft Surface.  I am so grateful.

Ideas for an appropriate thank you?  They are moving this week so I was thinking an Ikea gift card to get things for the new house?

That’s wonderful! I think a gift card for their new home would be great, I know I would appreciate it.

Booze usually goes down well.  :) (unless they are teetotal).
