Friyay!

1.  I'm home!  Just walked in.  It's so nice to have DOORS!  Lol.  Motorhome was fun and a fantastic way to see soooo much more of England and Wales.

2.  We took advantage this week of Eat Out to Help Out.  Great program and is definitely working to get people comfortable going back out again.  We've read that a lot of chains are going to continue to offer it over the next few weeks as it's been so successful that it's worth the cost to them.

3.  We still have to unload the motorhome and clean it.  UGH.  I don't want too!  And sadly the rain has stopped so no excuse!  We came home to a completely full rain gauge and lovely lush overgrown green grass.  So at least all the crap weather did some good!

4.  We had "a day" with the motorhome yesterday.  Went over a bridge that was built in 1702....  I think you can figure out the rest of the story.  Glad we have full coverage insurance on the motorhome!  And we also had to be towed out of mud by a tractor.  My son loved that.  But it was all of us.  3 motorhomes got stuck in the mud at yesterday's GORGEOUS stop(Glanusk Estate in the Brecon Beacons).

5.  My mom suspects she has coronavirus (my parents are in Florida).  She's scared and mad.  She's stayed home almost exclusively, avoided all social events, followed all the rules, etc.  She was tested Tuesday and doesn't have the results still.  Ugh.  So far my dad is fine.  I'm praying and hoping she just has the flu.  She has no cough!  So I'm really hoping it's not corona and that she doesn't develop into COVID.  Didn't sleep last night thinking about it to say the least!

2. Because of how rough the last few months have been, my husband agreed I could try medical cannabis because it's been life altering (in a good way) for many with EDS. It improves the quality of REM sleep, which in turn allows so many other things to improve. I haven't touched it since I was a young college kid, but I vaped back then because asthma kept me from smoking so I'm hopeful with the high tech devices now I'll still be able to tolerate it. I also have a high quality activated charcoal air filter already, so it won't smell in the house which is important to me. They're prescribing an oil to try as well, which I'll get first based on what is currently available in the country. CBD oils didn't make me sick but also did nothing, so *fingers crossed* it helps (12.5mg thc, 25mg CBD for anyone interested).

I really hope this helps. It certainly has helped so many folks and it's pretty awesome!   [smiley=2thumbsup.gif] [smiley=clover2.gif] [smiley=2thumbsup.gif] [smiley=clover2.gif] [smiley=2thumbsup.gif] [smiley=clover2.gif]

I really hope she hasn't caught it and your father stays asymptomatic. There are definitely still regular colds going around. Fingers crossed for a negative test and that she feels better quickly.

They have found that the size of the exposure matters, so even when people catch it now the severity is dropping because of all the distancing measures in place. That gives me hope for a return to "normality" and hopefully fewer long lasting cases. (normal=masks and social distancing til a vaccine)

1.  A Friday night all to myself for the first time in months!  OH has been coming up every Friday night and staying for the weekend, but he's otherwise engaged tonight... sorry to say it, but... YAY!  ;)

2.  They're blasting Magic Radio in the office today and I am HATING it.  The music is not to my taste!

3.  Going to the hound walk on Sunday... a friend might come with me, which would be nice.  Her eyes will be on stalks... she'll never have seen so many greyhounds all in one place before!

4.  I got a new phone... Pixel 3A.  I really like it so far, but need to spend some time messing with it, as I can't work out how to tick a bunch of photos and delete them all at once instead of individually.  (for some reason, when I transferred the data from my old phone, it also transferred all the photos I'd previously deleted ... so annoying.  Delete should MEAN delete!!)

5.  Bank holiday weekend!!! (I work for a bank, so we get English holidays).  I'm planning on brewing my mead this weekend.

Her test was negative!  Whew!

I told her to ask her primary care doc for a rapid flu test.

My Final Scottish Friday:

1) I can yodel in my house and there's an echo now.  ;) I'd forgotten how big and barn-like this place is without stuff in it!

2) I got tired of cleaning so was playing slide-on-the-pergo-in-gym-socks (like Tom Cruise did in that funky movie from what, twenty years ago?) for the last little bit.... ::) ;D

3) I just waited for 45 minutes for someone who was going to stop by (they phoned and said they were on the way) to pick up the electricals and a lot of housewares. Gave up and came back in the building, stuffed everything in the basement and hope it doesn't get stolen. She showed up on foot. Her ride flaked on her, so she's supposed to come get it tomorrow. I hope she does. Otherwise I'll have to bin it.

4) The Daughter is making a pizza run to Darios over on Queen Margaret. That''ll be nice, since I've no way to cook anything here now. I am tired and I am hungry. My appetite is back and my sinuses have re-opened, thank goodness, so I will enjoy that pizza.

5) The Council Tax people sent me a 200+ pound refund direct to my checking account. Nice, since I'm still living in the flat!  ;D
