Many, many years ago, my cousin's small child had a Blue's Clues themed birthday party. My cousin and I made a blue paw print shaped cake ("a cluuuuuue!"). We had to mix in a ridiculous amount of food colour to get it the right shade of blue. So, what I'm saying is, we did the Blue Poop Challenge before it was cool. #CuttingEdgeScienceWork
My five:
1. On Monday, my husband will be two weeks since his last exposure to the outside world, he is now working from home (and hates his WFH task), and I am fully vaccinated. We're already relaxing a leeeetle bit, but come Monday, we're reunifying the house!
2. Our anniversary and his birthday are in the first full week of June, and he has that week off from work. I've ordered several thicknesses of mild steel sheet, and now I'm trying to decide which welder to buy him so he can learn to weld (I'll gift all the things necessary for him to get started reasonably safely). (Anybody with experience can certainly weigh in if you know why I shouldn't set him up with a MIG gas/no gas welder--he doesn't have the steadiest hands).
3. Received a letter from the hospital for me to come for an appointment on 3 June to collect a recording oxymeter for an overnight study. When I called to say I can't make it, they said I can send my husband. After 15 months of separation, I'm not sending my husband into a hospital to get contaminated again. Especially the day before his week off is to begin! Don't steal my sunshine!
4. I've been playing a lot of guitar since his WFH started. I plug headphones into my practice amp and play along to music on Spotify. My husband hears nothing... well, very little.
5. Workshop! We needed some knobs for a project, so I made some. Then I started calling them "flowers". Then I posted a pic on Facebook about my newfound gardening ability. Now my cousin's wife wants my cousin to make wooden flowers for her.
